Overview
Criselda Pineda – Executive Assistant
Hello, I am Criselda Pineda, you may call me Crisel. I am 42 years old, and I have a 14-year-old son. I took up Mass Communications with a degree in Journalism at Siena College, QC.
After I graduated from college, I worked as a call center agent for Dell computers. Then I decided I wanted to be more independent and moved to California. I worked as a Purchasing Assistant, Assistant Manager, and Listing Coordinator.
I then had my son. I realized I was paying more for the babysitter than what I was earning. That’s when I decided to go back to the Philippines.
I went back to school to become a Pastry Chef. I became a Chef Instructor for a while, but it was eating up so much of my time away from my son and I wasn’t earning enough.
I worked as a Management Trainee and was sent to Jakarta, Indonesia for training.
But being a single parent isn’t easy. My son was about to start kindergarten and I knew I had to find a job where I can be with him and still focus on nurturing him and seeing him grow up.
I was lucky to have found a company where I landed my very first work-from-home job.
I have nearly a decade of working as a Virtual Assistant. And over the years, I have learned so much. I can multitask, I am keen, flexible, reliable, have good attention to detail, and communicate effectively with anyone. With the professional and personal experiences, I have, I am confident that I will be able to fulfill this job efficiently and can be a great addition to the team. I am hardworking, eager to learn, can work with minimal supervision, fast learner if given the opportunity will also help me enhance my knowledge and skills and help the client and the team’s workload lighter and easier.
Working from home is very different. But I must say this is what works for me and my son. I can provide not just financially, but more importantly, my time. I never had to miss out on any of my son’s school programs. I can work and help him with his school homework. I always want the best for my son, that is why I believe this work environment suits our lifestyle. Cliché, but it is what they call balanced life – Work, family, friends, and time for me.
Every day is different, and I know there is still a lot for me to learn while also serving my clients.
