David Paul Tanteo – Marketing

I am an only child of two hard working parents. Growing up, I was taught to be thankful for the things I have, and help other people if I can. My mother is the most influential person in my life. She taught me that learning is the most important thing in life, to be a goal-setter and inspired me to set high goals for myself and work hard to reach them all. So far, my life has been great, but I know that in the future, I will have to face an obstacle in both my personal and professional life. And I know that my passion and skills will drive me forward.

My first job was a Technical Support Representative. It was a great experience for me. I have learned to respect the people that work hard even more. It is not easy to work at night, since most BPO companies function at night, you have no time for your family when you get home. I had the opportunity to be promoted and be transferred to the marketing team of the company and I learned a lot even more. It made me realize that learning doesn’t stop, and opportunities are always around. My role in that team was to create videos and banners that reflect our company’s voice. It brought the creativity that I never knew I had before. Right at that moment, I knew what I really wanted to do. Creating videos and editing them in a way that is invisible to the viewers gave me such satisfaction. In addition, to be able to see the outcome of the work that I created made me happy. Moreover, while my previous position afforded me a well-rounded skill set, including relationship building and time management skills, I also excel at creating ad campaigns that aim to get the viewers attention. I was trained to understand how Google Ads work and I will be forever grateful for the knowledge I have learned from these experiences.

I believe that becoming a virtual assistant will put me in an environment where I can best develop my newly found passion, knowledge and skills.
