Jezel Gulayan – Administrative Assistant

I’m Jezel, your friendly and reliable Virtual Assistant.

As a Virtual Assistant, I have done Accounting Data Entry and I also worked as a General VA that includes Online Research, Instagram and Facebook posting, and other Admin tasks.

I am a professional with over 6 years of experience in Accounting and Office Administration. I have a degree in Accounting Technology which I never thought I would end up taking because I’m not that fond of numbers, but eventually, I learned to appreciate and love my craft.

As soon as I graduated, I landed my first job as an Accounting Staff. I was then in charge of daily sales, cash inflows/outflows, and bookkeeping. After a year, I got a job as a Cashier/Encoder in one of the biggest water bottling companies in the Philippines. What I like most about it is that I was able to travel a lot since I used to go from one branch to another. Five years later, my hard work was recognized, I was promoted to Accounting Associate. I handled four branches at that time, overseeing their daily transactions on Sales, Invoicing, Purchases, Cash and Checks deposits, Inventory, Petty Cash, and Expenses.

In the year 2018, I resigned from my post and worked as Admin Officer in a feeds manufacturing company. I managed all the transactions for the whole South Mindanao area from warehousing(stocks-inventory), sales and delivery, purchases, collections and deposit, business permits and other government requirements, phone and email management, and other admin tasks.

After a year I decided to quit my job and focus on being a full-time mom to my handsome little boy. That was the time I came to know about freelancing. I was stunned by the idea of working in the comforts of your own home. I thought it was a perfect setup for a stay-at-home-mom like me. So I researched how freelancing works. I read and watched some free courses and materials to help me become equipped as I engage in this field.

During my spare time, I love spending it playing with my little boy who is 3 years old now. I also love watching movies on Netflix, especially Korean Dramas :).

I am a goal-oriented person, I have a strong willingness to learn, flexible, and can work with minimal supervision. With this and my accumulated work experience, I am confident that I would be a valuable addition to your team.

I will bring a great attitude and a willingness to take on any task and achieve the best possible outcome. I foresee myself working for a company for the long term. Thus I am eagerly looking forward to working with you soon.
