John Paolo Pallagao – Telemarketer

john-paolo-pallagao-profileMy name is John Paolo but you can just call me Jap.

I am the youngest of four siblings and a member of the LGBT community. I have a degree in Bachelor of Science in Nursing but I ended up working in a different field due to life’s hardships.

“When the going gets tough, the tough gets going” – this is one of the popular sayings that best describes me. I am the type of person who accepts challenges, endures whatever difficulties I encounter and eventually overcomes it.

I am optimistic, driven and dependable. I’m a sociable person. I like working both on my own and with a team.

I have worked in the BPO industry for 5 years mostly with Customer Service and Sales, both inbound and outbound, but I am always open to try out different roles within Administrative or Marketing. My work experience in outsourcing companies made it easier for me to adapt to sudden changes and helped me build my confidence.

I loved working in the BPO industry, but a friend of mine introduced me to the world of freelancing. After a few john-paolo-pallagao-by-the-beachdiscussions, I realised how convenient it was working in the comfort of your own home. I can spend more time with my family and at the same time earn and save more. I started looking for a home-based job in 2017 and after a few months of sending applications to different clients, I luckily had my first VA job.

I started my VA career in 2018. I’m familiar with tools like Microsoft, Google Suite, Quickbooks, LinkedIn and CRM Tools such as Asaha and Zoho. I may have little experience now, but I know I will be able to learn more with the right training and tools provided. I don’t see this as a handicap but instead an opportunity for me to gain more and strive harder.

In this day and age, in this career I have chosen, I believe it is always important to be up-to-date with the current needs of potential clients.

On the side, there are a few things I like doing when I get off from work. I love watching volleyball games, reading books and playing online games. Earlier this year, I made up my mind and started travelling to places I wanted to visit locally and abroad. The opportunity to travel while working made me love working remotely even more. During my free time, I like browsing through social media applications like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

I hope you have a wonderful day ahead!
