Karla E. Ronquillo – Real Time Analyst

karla-ronquillo-officeHello there! My name is Karla Ronquillo but my friends call me Tanya. I am a mother of 3 and a crazy cat lady.

I am no storyteller, so please bear with me. 🙂

I belong to a family of engineers, but I am not one of them.

I grew up with my grandmother who raised me as a god fearing and family loving child in the mountains of Batangas. Having a fun filled life in the province is too far from the life that I had in the city. (I literally and figuratively think that the city never sleeps.)

After working for a few years in the sales industry, I found myself a job in the BPO world. This is where I gained most of the knowledge that I have today. I turned nights into days as it’s the norm in the call center world. As an agent, I was tasked to be a customer service associate where I help the customers with their issues about their bills, maintenance of their utility services, and the likes. I also did technical support back then, where I handled admin tasks like enrollment to internet service plans, troubleshooting over the phone if the internet doesn’t work and also book appointments for scheduled repairs.

karla-ronquillo-profileAs I grew older in this industry, I sought for more ways on how I can be of better help to the company. This is when I entered the workforce analytical team. Here I was tasked to do data entry and mining, lead generation, creating reports and presenting it the management team. I also do strategic planning for the programs I handle to make sure that the metrics are met and find solutions to problems before they even exist (the what ifs and what not). It was a tough job. It really was!

Through continuous learning and with lots of motivation and skillful thinking, I managed to stand tall and pull through. Now, I am proud to say that I did a good job as an analyst. I can do office and admin tasks easy-peasy. I can talk to any one via email, chat, skype or over the phone confidently.

After years of working in the corporate world, I started feeling tired living in the city. So when my in-laws offered my family to go back to the province, I did not hesitate. We were left with a farm and a store to manage. It’s a physically tiring job, but I’m happy with it.

Until… I felt empty inside. I felt like something is missing. That is when I tried looking for a virtual assistant post. I’m quite new to this virtual world, but I am sure that I can do this. With the knowledge I have as an analyst and administrative personnel, plus the addition of new learnings and training that the team could give me, I’ll get the hang of this VA thing in no time. 🙂

Geeez… I talked a lot about work and the city life.

I forgot to tell you the things I do most when I’m home. I love to shop online, browse social networking sites, read articles (with or without sense), do some event planning for the family. I also love to cook and most of all I love my cats.

That’s pretty much it for me. Hope to have a chat with you soon.

This is your virtual assistant, Tanya.
