Ma. Kelly Cristil Lorejo – Nurse Assistant
Hi, I am Ma. Kelly Cristil Lorejo, but you can call me Kelly for short. I am a wife and a mom of an amazing 2-year-old little boy. Being a mom is a little bit frustrating when you run out of budget due to high expenses. During the coronavirus pandemic, I went to college but did not finish my first semester in my freshmen year because of financial incapabilities. And with that, I decided to sell something to make a living. From that experience, I learned a lot of values that helped me to grow and adapt to every situation. Recently, I joined many groups on Facebook that offer a work-from-home job, and I saw this website has been posted.
So, I thought it would be a great chance to apply for a job and hope that I would be chosen as a candidate for a job offer. Although I don’t have direct professional experience as a virtual assistant, my personal experience during my short time working in the medical industry (work immersion program) and being a self-employed individual has helped me develop my skills in communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and time management.
I graduated senior high school in 2019 with the academic strand of Accounting, Business, and Management at Holy Spirit School of Tagbilaran. During my Senior High School years, we had this work immersion program that focused on practical exposure to our chosen career. I worked as a nurse in a hospital. Our task was to monitor the patient’s vitals, organise and maintain accurate reports, and assist our patients with their needs. I also have a strong academic background in business studies that equipped me with an understanding of basic business operations, researching, and understanding the ways of how to contribute to a project. I have also built my analytical skills that I also believe are useful in roles involving data analysis and or in business operations.
Thankfully, there are a lot of remote work-from-home jobs that don’t require going to the office to work. Being a stay-at-home mom, it is a great opportunity for us to work and help our partners to support our financial needs without the need to leave our kids and feel mom guilt. It also gave us the benefit of providing the flexibility to manage both our family responsibilities and career aspirations. Balancing work and family responsibility provides a sense of personal achievement, and independence, and creates a comfortable workspace that meets our needs.
