Maelyn Jane Mocorro – Virtual Assistant, Social Media Manager

Hi, I’m Maelyn Jane Mocorro, but you can call me Mae. I’m a proud 23-year-old professional who recently made the big decision to transition into remote work. I’m originally from Davao but now live in Iligan City. I’ve always had a passion for learning and growing, which led me to explore the world of virtual assistance.

Before I ventured into this path, I worked in several industries, including manufacturing and retail, where I gained valuable experience in customer support, operations, and sales. However, after some time, I realised that the traditional office setting wasn’t the best fit for me, and I wanted more flexibility. That’s when I decided to explore remote work opportunities.

In 2023, I took the leap into becoming a Virtual Assistant. At first, it felt like a huge change. The prospect of working from home was both exciting and daunting. I didn’t know how things would unfold, but my drive to learn and adapt has kept me moving forward. The transition hasn’t always been easy, but it has been incredibly fulfilling. I now assist real estate agents with CRM management, social media content creation, and lead generation, which aligns perfectly with my previous experiences in marketing and support roles.

I quickly adapted to managing multiple tasks such as smartplan creation, content scheduling, and website management. The learning curve was steep, but I enjoy the challenge. I thrive when I’m helping my clients succeed, whether it’s by streamlining their workflow or creating engaging social media posts to boost their online presence. I’m not just good at getting things done; I take pride in doing them right and with attention to detail.

What I love about working remotely is the balance it gives me between career and personal life. I can provide for my family while also being present for them. It has been an eye-opening experience that I wish I had discovered sooner.

I’m passionate about continually growing and developing new skills that will help me become an even more valuable asset to my clients. With each project I take on, I’m expanding my knowledge and making a difference in both my work and personal life.
