Marianne Lilio – Accountant
Hello, I am Marianne Pedrera Lilio, 3rd, from the five siblings. I grew up to be competitive and independent. I believe that education is one of the treasures that my parents have, so I give importance to it.
I worked hard to achieve my goals and dreams in life. I am proud that I got my bachelor’s degree in accounting technology. It took me five years to achieve it. It was quite a roller coaster ride but worth it.
I started my career in an Accounting Firm. I strongly believe that this is the best place where better and broader opportunities take place. And yes, I am correct! The lessons I learned helped me to enter the BPO world and where my VA career started. I was hired as an Accounting Associate in a Travel and Tours company in the US. I stayed there for 3 years and 4 months. Unfortunately, the company decided to let go of some of the VAs and decided to have an in-house personnel.
After that, I applied as a Customer Representative for me to gain new skills and experiences. I am a risk-taker and confident that things will be okay as long as I am willing to be trained. I was hired and things went on smoothly. But a few months after, I realized that this was not the path that I fit in. I resigned and went back to my passion in numbers in accounting.
Shortly after, I was hired by an Australian Company where I had a lot of meaningful and worthy experiences. The people I worked with are supportive for each employee’s career growth.
I am proficient in Netsuite, and MYOB. Learning is an unending process. I always strive to improve my skills, so I worked on my basic knowledge in Xero and Quickbooks.
I am now married to a freelance photographer. I sometimes help him on his work. I can do photo editing and be his co-photographer/videographer. We have an energetic and witty kiddo. During weekends, I always make time for my kid. I also like arts and crafts. I have unlocked a lot of skills during the lockdown. I discovered that I could cook, sew simple curtains, make balloon décors, I can do flower arrangement and recently, air dry clay stuff.
I consider myself as an achiever. I always go above and beyond in everything I do. I am up for the challenges and work hard to achieve success.
