Mary Jean Capiña – Lead Generation

Hi, my name is Mary Jean Capiña, but you can call me MJ for short. I am 35 years old, happily married with two beautiful kids. I took up a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology at Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology, but I was not able to complete my degree.

Now, I am going to share the journey of life. My life is quiet boring because I am the only child. I can only express my thoughts in writing. I have been passionate in writing since when I was a child. I remember during my high school life, writing novels was one of my comfort zone. I love reading books and watching Movies. I really wanted to finish my studies but our life was difficult back then and it was hard for me to look for a job because I have kids to take care of.

My life started to change when I found out about the advantages of working from home. I started sending a resume and I struggled at first because I didn’t have any experience. I thought everything was just a dream until I received a call and someone offered me a job. I started out working as a Content Writer and for me it was a dream come true and I can’t imagine that I landed on my first job. I admired how my first client helped me to develop my skills and good qualities towards my work. He is a webmaster and I worked closely with him. He shared some basic knowledge in SEO strategies and I enjoyed working with him for a year. He gave me a chance to work on the back-end of the website like installing plug-ins. I also learned how Google algorithms works. I could never experience all of that without his help and support. I decided to quit my job when I gave birth. Years later, I decided to attend some VA training and gained more experience and skills in the office and administrative industry. I was so grateful that I learned basic software and administrative tools from the training.

My second job was I worked as an Intern Social Media Manager, where I had to create eye-catching content for the audience and work with the team. I was assigned in graphic design where I had to work on content ideas and copywriting. Engaging through various social media platforms. I was excited every day because I have a good relationship with my teammates and I enjoy being with them like exchanging ideas. Collaborating with the team gave me a great deal of courage, especially in solving problems. We shared and appreciated each other’s help.

I am a detail-oriented, hardworking VA, and my willingness to learn may be the reason why the management chose me to be the team leader of the creative design team. I remember when I was in high school I was always the team leader whenever we had our group project or presentation. I know that I didn’t have enough knowledge in graphic design but I am a fast learner VA and love to learn new things.

I love to gain knowledge and skills. I want to be trained with integrity. I think being a reliable and flexible individual is what makes me different from others. My recent job was Lead Generation my responsibility is to find leads through email finder tools. I believe that having excellent skills and knowledge in various industries while maintaining a good personality to everyone is truly a great achievement already for me as a VA.
