Randy Villacorta – Customer Service Representative, ESL

randy-villacorta-vaHi, I am Randy Villacorta.

I have worked in the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Industry for 7 years. My experiences include transcribing, online research, data entry, billing & sales, and customer service. For five years, I have been able to efficiently manage different international companies whose base of operations come from countries like the United Kingdom, Australia, and the United States among others. I am happy and proud to highlight my passion, perseverance, and people skills in working for Fortune 500 companies like AT&T and eBay.

Transcribing audios was one of the jobs I enjoyed the most because it taught me skills I never knew I could. Firstly, it enhanced my typing skills which used to be my weaknesses. Secondly, my listening skill has developed not just for transcribing, but also for team meetings and discussion with my peers and colleagues. I have learned that in order to be a good speaker, you must be a good listener and this trait I learned is invaluable, especially if I am going to work with a team. Thirdly, my attention to detail has improved since working in most of these BPO clients requires that your information is correct, prompt, and concise. I feel that this skill I learned from my experiences will contribute greatly to your organization as I always ensure that my work is being delivered at the highest quality as humanely as possible. Lastly, I also gained not just understanding but experience in Data Entry using tools like Content-Relationship-Management (CRM) to organize the client’s files. It also allowed me to ensure that I deliver the tasks promptly and to have a keen sense of understanding on vague tasks assigned, which is related to me being independent when given a task. I strive to deliver with my utmost capability.

randy-villacorta-vaWhen I worked as a customer service representative, I supported customers with their inquiries regarding billing, tool usage, tracking packages, and website navigation. These experiences have taught me a lot about handling customers better and doing above and beyond to make sure that their issues are resolved. Dealing with customers requires patience, understanding, and yet another dose of patience and I believe that is very essential to properly cater to customer issues.

Aside from working in the BPO industries, I have experiences in several industries for the past few years from Fast Food chains where I worked as a service crew; to Events as a choreographer, organizer, and event host; and also to the ESL industry as an English teacher for Japanese and Korean students both online and offline.

I am very much flexible, a quick learner, motivated, and always hungry to learn new things. I always strive to be the best version of myself both personally and professionally. I firmly believe that learning is a never-ending process. In fact, it is my motto that we should always strive to continuously improve.

Another interesting fact about me is that I am a dancer and a music lover. I enjoy listening to music, especially pop, rap, and RnB.

In my free time, I usually go for a walk because it relaxes my mind. I also take my dogs for a walk and play with them. I currently have 5 dogs and a cat. They inspire me to work harder so I could save up and buy my own house in the future.
