Rizciel Bacuna – Executive Assistant

Hi! I am Rizciel Bacuna, but you can call me Riz. I am married and a full-time mother to our 4 wonderful kids. I graduated with a degree in Mathematics at the University of the Philippines Los Baños and in Nursing at DLS-STI College.

I started tutoring kids when I was in college. I was a Company Nurse before I decided to choose motherhood as my career. I am now assisting our kids with their online classes, managing chores, and doing online jobs at the same time.

One of my goals is to help my husband with our finances, not because he cannot provide for our family, but for me to also share financially with our growing family that we’ve built together. He did not even force me to go to work because he believed that being a hands-on mother to our kids is considered a great job that I am already doing. I have been a full-time mother for more than a decade now and working from home is the best fit not just for me but for the whole family. I struggled many times and at the same time, it is a rewarding profession. I used my struggles and failures as my motivation to push myself back on track.
My journey started as a Virtual Assistant in July 2021. I attended training and internship as well before I landed a US Based Client. Even in the midst of the pandemic, there were opportunities that came along. With the right attitude, perseverance, reliability, resiliency, hardworking and being trustworthy, I reaped what I sowed at the perfect time.

I am a dedicated Virtual Assistant with involvement in handling basic aspects of bookkeeping using QuickBooks and Xero – doing bank reconciliation, setting up bank rules, creating manual journals, invoicing, billing, and reports; graphic design and product marketing using Canva. I also helped clients with their social media accounts and e-commerce businesses. I treated each task as if it was my own company.
I am also a small business owner who sells local products. I have strong inventory and documentation skills.

I am grateful to be a part of this team. I am open to an innovative role that leverages my ability set. I am teachable, a fast learner and willing to be trained and upskill.
