Roschelle Andres – Customer Service Representative

roschelle-andres-vaEvery day is a learning process, that’s what I always believe in. We learn different things daily, we inspect, innovate, and grow.

My name is Roschelle Andres, my colleagues call me Elle. I am 27 years old and a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Major in Marketing Management from Saint Louis College – La Union.

Growing up in a complicated family set-up taught me to be independent and value what I have. I grew up with my grandmother who’s the reason why I relocated back to La Union from staying and working in Manila for more than 7 years. She keeps me calm and grounded during tough work times and encouraged me to take all of life’s challenges positively. In return, I wanted to be here, especially during this tough time, ready to tend to her needs while working for my future.

During my college days, I worked with a famous fast food chain as a cashier where I got to interact face to face with people and making sure I provide 100% customer service to keep them patronizing the said chain. I eventually needed to end my contract since I’m already taking my major subjects.

roschelle-andres-vaI ventured into the BPO industry after graduating. It was a roller coaster ride – fun, exciting, and thrilling. I learned a lot as I climbed the corporate ladder. From being an entry level employee where I was able to enhance my communication skill by interacting with different people daily.

After a couple of months, I was tasked to answer tier 2 concerns that enhanced my reasoning skill. I was then promoted as a part of the Fraud Analyst team where we are responsible for conducting research into records and transactions which enhanced my auditing skill. Then, I was promoted to be a part of operations and handled my own team.

Handling my own team was so challenging, at the same time so fulfilling. You get to share your best practices while helping people grow and develop their skills. You get to do a lot of tasks that’s outside your pay grade, but on the other hand, you get to learn different aspects of the operation. Making daily and weekly reports for client review, scheduling and time management, creating your own excel file for the team’s performance report, dealing with different kind of client escalations and being flexible with how you interact with people.

I am so grateful for all my ups and downs. Now, I know that venturing the VA world will help me grow as a professional individual. I am thrilled to learn and will make sure to provide the best result possible.
