Rose-Ann Nazarene Libre – eCommerce and Social Media Manager
My name is Rose-Ann Nazarene Libre. I am 24 years of age now with two lovable kids, the eldest is already 5 years old and the youngest is 2 years old.
I am an Associate Graduate of Information Technology major in Web Application Development. When I graduated from college, I did not have a chance to look for a job in the field due to falling pregnant (teenage mom) at that time.
I looked for training that could help me gain more knowledge and increase my capabilities in the BPO industry. I finished those trainings but still hadn’t had a chance to look for a job, as I needed to wait for my first baby to be born.
Within a month of giving birth I started to look and apply for jobs. There were so many rejections along the way so I ended up looking online as I needed to take care of my first baby as well. I thank God for giving me my first client (commencing in 2013) working in Data Entry (Google Adwords). I just took on 1 month of work at that time due to no secure payment set-up and because I didn’t know to handle that type of job set-up. Things worked out but I had to stop several years later and applied for other online jobs.
I resumed looking for a job in 2016 and thank God after a few months I got started with a new client from Singapore as a Social Media and Sales Assistant. In this field I received tasks in which I needed to handle customers, make sales and do some ads for marketing strategy on Facebook, Instagram, and Carousell. I worked with the client for 3 months, but as I had a problem with the working schedule and delays with salary payments, I made the decision to resign.
I looked for another client and thank God one accepted my application and I was hired as a Virtual Assistant Social Media Customer Support. After 2 months working as an agent, they offered me a promotion to become a Team Leader. I worked for them for almost a year, but I decided to resign because there was no room for growth. Also the working hours consumed my resting hours for my kids. After a month I looked for another job. Two clients responded to my application, one for eBay Product Lister and the other for Virtual Assistant which falls on good working schedule (8 hours, 5 days a week and weekends off). The Ebay Product Lister position only lasted a month as the company went bankrupt. I continued working as a Virtual Assistant/Customer Support Representative with my full-time job.
These experiences aren’t that tough compared to others, but I believe that we have one goal which is not giving up. I believe that giving all your best shots are the keys to a successful life. I am eager to learn more and that’s why I am still looking for a part-time job because I believe that as a single parent with two lovable kids, I had to provide and save for their brighter future.
I am looking forward to working with you. I am more than excited! God bless everyone!
