Rosette de Leon – Supply Planning Specialist

I graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Science Major in Banking and Finance. Soon after graduation, I was hired in a Multipurpose cooperative as an encoder. I grabbed this opportunity while waiting for job offers.

I was hired as a Credit Memo encoder for Jollibee Foods Corporation’s commissary in Pasig. I finished the six-month contract. I was then hired as a clerk in the timekeeping department of Purefoods Corporation in Marikina. I was hired by Fil-Estate as a Credit and collection clerk for a probationary position.

Fortunately, I was recalled and asked by Jollibee Foods Corporation to join their team as a Distribution and Warehouse clerk for a regular position. I stayed with Jollibee Foods Corporation for 22 years. From Department clerk to Inventory Control Assistant then finally promoted to Supply Planning Specialist. I handle many categories from food items to packaging, tools and utensils. On top of the non-food category I handle for local stores, I also handle all orders and concerns of international stores.

I handle the USA, Canada, Italy, Spain, Hongkong, Singapore, Brunei, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Middle East stores. The International stores are ordering wet and dry food items from the Philippines. Also, we serve their packaging orders and other non-food items. I am also responsible for coordinating with the associates that handle each country. This coordination includes ensuring First in First out is observed and followed. Also, I ensure that all local requirements are met and implemented. Furthermore, I am responsible for ensuring that our department is within the ISO standards. I am the document custodian for the Supply Planning department.

On a weekly basis, I am responsible for generating reports from SAP. This report includes delivery accuracy and timeliness of our deliveries to stores (both local and international stores). This report involves creating data and graphs. Monthly, I generate supplier delivery performance for all brands of Jollibee Foods Corporation. Moreover, I consolidate all the forecasts for all brands and ensure the timeliness of sending this forecast to the Purchasing Department for negotiation and bidding. I am also responsible for Master data maintenance for our department. This task requires accuracy and timeliness in the encoding of data in SAP.

Before the pandemic, we observed the hybrid work set-up. But during the pandemic, a full work-from-home set up. Though there are still days working from home, but we are encouraged to report back to the site. This was the main reason why I finally decided to resign and would like to try working in a different environment with a full work-from-home setup.

It would seem that there is a gap from my last job until today, but it has been a fruitful year bonding with my kids. I want to work from home so I can spend more time with my family after work. I believe this work-from-home job will help me balance work and life.
