Ures Villahermosa – Software Developer, QA Tester and Debugger

Hi, I am Ures Villahermosa, you can call me Ures. My story is just a short one. I am just a simple boy of 22 years of age with two brothers in a small household. I am a graduating student taking the course of BS – Computer Engineering at the University of San Carlos. Currently, my uncle is sponsoring my tuition since my parents can’t provide enough to cover it. I want to be able to help around the house besides doing chores. I want to partake in financially supporting my family too as my mother is the one who shoulders that burden. Sometimes her income is insufficient for our day-to-day needs and for me to acquire a job for extra income for the family, would be very helpful.

I have a strong set of skills developed throughout all of my life; technical skills from being a tech-savvy person and a computer engineering major, leadership and communication skills from being an assistant coach of Taekwondo here in the Philippines for around 4 years. I am very interested in the Virtual Assistant Industry as I feel like it’s the right place for me to utilise my skills and hone them.

As for my hobbies and interests, I like to draw and do some gaming in my free time. I also like to stay physically active whether it be doing workouts, playing frisbee, or training in taekwondo. One of my biggest hobbies involves computer technology. Ever since I was a kid, I was always drawn to it. I first started playing with old computer games, then I moved to accessing and testing out all the features of a Windows operating system-based computer. After that, I just learned to troubleshoot any kind of problems with hardware and software. My hobby of liking computer technology also led me to take an interest in technology in general, may it be related to mobile phones, electronic devices, and automation systems. With all of that information, I guess you could call me a tech geek.

I haven’t really had much actual working experience. Being a software developer intern for Advanced World Systems, Inc. for 3 months was just about the experience I had. but I really enjoyed my time working there, it opened up my perspective of how the professional world looks like. Everything is fast-paced, and work must be done efficiently and effectively. Communicating with a team and coordinating with them on a project was also a huge factor. After having that kind of experience, I am ready to step into a new direction for a profession.

That is my story, and I hope it piques your interest as you consider me to be of contribution to your team.
