Robert Bermudez – Graphic Design

Robert is a results-oriented person. He always finds a way to deliver even when faced with challenges. He does not stop in the middle of an endeavour just because a small knowledge gap is encountered. Because of this very nature, Robert has acquired a fair amount of experience.

Robert is a Computer Engineer and was able to pursue the career for a time. The discipline required to provide solution and result is what was engrained in him as an engineer. This gave him the drive to explore and acquire knowledge and skills that are beyond his area of study. Being an engineer by heart, he loves to understand why and how things are done. It allows him to make workflows that are efficient given the amount of resources.

However, Robert also loves to draw. When he was young, he was fascinated by the things around him and tried to draw anything that he was interested in. When he got older, he also got more interested in drawing much more complex things until his interest in Graphic Design grew. His talent in drawing, his interest for graphic design combined with this inquisitive mind went on to make him what he is now.

As a computer engineer, he has acquired technical know-how in designing embedded computer systems and also building PCs. He loves building PCs especially gaming PCs. However he also builds PCs for corporate clients that require special computing needs.

He is also a part of a government-backed team to develop hardwares and softwares for a nation-wide digitalisation program of government agencies.
But he did not stop there. Over the years he also continued to sharpen and update his skills in graphic design. He taught himself the fundamentals of graphic design by actually reading books, attending seminars, taking online classes, watching videos from the internet and more.

Robert is proficient in designing both printed and digital media and is familiar with the technicalities involved for both of these.

With more than 7 years of experience in graphic design, Robert made himself familiar with the many tools necessary to produce quality graphics. Robert is knowledgeable with the industry standard softwares such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Indesign, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Premiere. He also uses other alternatives to these softwares such as Corel draw, Corel Photo Paint, Canva and Sony Vegas. He is also able to use vinyl cutter/plotter cutter software like Signmaster. He can print t-shirts using sublimation process and silk-screen printing. His other technical expertise involves setting up streaming platforms and capturing the media for video production.

All these made Robert confident in many projects and endeavours. Today Robert continues to learn and study. The pandemic is barely a downtime for him because it gave him a lot of spare time to solidify his understandings of the skills that he has already acquired. As of now, he teaches himself about 3D rendering and Photography.

But Robert’s focus and determination does not make him a boring person. He loves to ride his motorcycle and travel far. He loves to go to the beach and snorkel and wander about the awe-inspiring nature. He climbs mountains and dips in the cold springs. He loves the outdoors. He loves hot chocolate while looking at a sea of clouds. He loves to eat good food with his family and friends. Robert has a positive outlook in life.
