Bleza Gail Balicog – General Virtual Assistant, Customer Service Representative
Hi, I am Bleza Gail Balicog, but you can call me Gail. I graduated from the University of Mindanao with a bachelor of science in accounting technology.
During my final year in college, I applied to a BPO company for the position of customer support for a seasonal voice account. As a customer support, my goal is to help customers with their online purchases through calls or chats. I usually help them in placing orders, especially if they want to use some discounts for their purchase. If they have issues regarding the item they have ordered, for example, it was damaged, so I have to make a refund or replacement, but if it is still not received, I have tracked it or I’ll contact the courier to provide more accurate information. I also need to be knowledgeable about answering their questions regarding the item they want to purchase, discounts, promotions, and any frequently asked questions.
Also, working while studying was not really easy since you need to balance your time properly or else one of it will be a compromise. During that time there are a lot of pressures, like I have to finish all my requirements in school since I’m a graduating student and also in work since we have a goal to achieve every end of shift. Thankfully, I was able to use that pressure to do well in my performance at work and finish my tasks in school in a timely manner. With the proper time management, I was able to graduate while still working.
Then my next job was email support for an e-commerce platform, where I handled customers complaining about the items they had ordered on our platform. I need to verify all details on the customer’s order before I respond to avoid any mistakes that might frustrate the customer. Time is also essential in our account since we have target emails every hour, but the important thing is that the quality of the work should not be compromised.
My latest role is that of a virtual assistant, where I got to work with different clients in different business industries such as coaching, Airbnb, and education. I help my clients with some tasks that are usually overlooked because of busy schedules and tons of workloads. The tasks I usually handled for my client were organising documents and files, and ensuring everything was well-structured and easy to access. I managed email correspondence efficiently, maintaining prompt and professional communication. I also handled social media accounts, creating engaging content and managing interactions. My work included creating lead magnets to attract potential customers, managing and overseeing online store pages like Etsy, and conducting in-depth research to support business growth. Additionally, I input data into Google Sheets or Excel, maintained and updated websites, created new websites when needed, and performed various administrative tasks to support day-to-day operations effectively.
My years of experience in customer service and as a virtual assistant helped me to gain different skills that I’m confident will be helpful to your team.
