Cheryl-Lyn Eiffert – Administrative Assistant

cheryl-yn-eiffert-vaHi! My name is Chey Eiffert. I am a mother of 6 beautiful girls. I took up Business Administration in college. I became a mother soon after college, so I didn’t really have the luxury of slacking after years of studying.

Lucky enough, it was the prosperous era of the BPO industry then, so I immediately found work to sustain my family. Having been assigned in different departments (customer service, technical support, sales, retention, quality assurance), I was able to develop the ability to gain customer’s confidence and trust and relates easily with all levels of co-workers and customers. Through the years, I was able to develop the skill in interacting with customers of all socioeconomic backgrounds.

In 2011, I got to work for a small online web enterprise and was tasked to bring home tasks during weekends and this is when I was introduced to a home-based setup. In 2015, I learned about an online platform for virtual assistants, and this is when I started working home-based full time.

I have worked as a Property Manager and Maintenance Coordinator for short-term and long-term rentals. My task includes handling concerns from booking queries, general property information, customer complaints, reviews, resolution, coordinating with cleaners and suppliers.

I have also worked as an Administrative Virtual Assistant with the primary tasks of handling initial recruitment process such as compiling Database for existing and prospect clients, posting job ads, initial screening, updating candidate pipeline, completion of compliance, maintaining employees’ database, scheduling, payroll maintenance and invoicing clients. I also do ad hoc projects as required by my client.

cheryl-yn-eiffert-vaHaving 6 kids is not easy for a working mom like me. Six kids with 6 different personalities required a lot of patience and creativity. At the start of my career, I have missed a lot of opportunities. But this home-based set-up has opened better possibilities for dedicated parents who also value the importance of having regular jobs for self-worth and continuous learning. Gone are the days of wasted time in traffic, missed school activities, heart-breaking episodes of leaving my kids for work even when they are sick. Indeed, circumstances revolve and at some point, the star will shine on your pavement. And when this happens, don’t lose the shine. Instead, work on making it shine brighter.

For 7 years now, this has been my saving grace and in return, I continuously work hard to sharpen my craft, so I can deliver quality work to my clients. I have learned to value integrity and to respect my colleagues regardless of differences in work ethics. My extensive work experience honed me to become patient, efficient, and honest in doing any task assigned.

This is my VA story…let me contribute all the skills and values that I’ve acquired through the number of years I have worked.
