Cristine Datinginoo – Human Resource Management, Virtual Assistance

Hi, I am Cristine Datinginoo, an aspiring virtual assistant. I am 22 years old from the Philippines. My hobby is reading novels and watching anime. I am also interested in learning different languages. Actually, I only learned English by listening to podcasts and reading novels. I have an experience in being a resource speaker when I was in college and it was a fun experience for me.

I have a dream to travel the world with my family. I do not like insects like cockroaches and spiders as they have too many legs. It’s scary. I like soft and cute things like pillows hahaha. I also like to solve my problems on my own and act as soon as possible. Because I believe that if you keep dragging it on, isn’t it still a “problem” at the end of the day? Better to act quickly and find solutions to them. I am a picky eater and I prefer meat than vegetable and fish. I do eat them but occasionally. People say that I am a ‘nonchalant’ person but I just think I am calm most of the time.

I recently graduated from college with my Bachelor’s degree. Being unemployed for 2 months pressured me. Ever since high school, I had graduated with honours and other awards. I also graduated with my Bachelor’s degree with Latin Honors. I had always believed that with my achievements, landing a job would be easy. But reality slap me hard right in the face. I have sent countless resumes, I have joined a countless group of ‘job seeking’, ‘first-time job seeker’, and ‘fresh graduate opportunities’ just to find a job. I contacted, directly messaged, and privately messaged, many people who posted several jobs. But until now that I am writing this? there were a few who responded, but mostly not. Just because I am a fresh graduate and do not have experience yet. But how can I prove myself, if they don’t even give me a chance right?

I am the first child in the family, so of course I have to be the breadwinner right? You know what before I graduated, I had daydreamed of having money, buying the things that I wanted, and providing for the needs of the family, but wow, reality slapped me so hard again. Where I am now? I’m in my own home and still looking for a job. You know I kept feeling pressured because I graduated as “Cum Laude”. But well, no matter what, I am the driver of my life right? I just need to keep moving forward. That’s why I wanted to try being a Virtual Assistant. I am very eager to thrive and I am a very diligent person. I know my responsibilities and I know that now, I lack knowledge of the corporate world, I lack experience but if I am given a chance, whether a small chance to improve myself, I will take it. And really, it wasn’t even easy too.
