Dhon Paolo Hernandez – Genral Virtual Assistant

dhon-paolo-hernandez-vaHello! I am Dhon Paolo Hernandez, most people call me Dhon, that’s how I got my awesome nickname. I studied Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering at Malayan Colleges Laguna. Although I was not able to fully finish my degree, I strive to make myself competent and still willing to learn new things in life.

At an early age, I started my first job as a Customer Service Representative taking inbound calls and servicing customers who have concerns about their bills and services. I really enjoyed this role since during my college years, I was an advocate and an active member of my program’s organization, so being able to assist clients successfully gives me fulfillment in my work. Being happy and being able to enjoy what you do not only gives a much better output but also provides less stress and a positive attitude towards work. I learned how to acknowledge their feelings while providing the service available to resolve their concern. And the most important skill I have developed is to empathize with people because primarily we need to build connections, for them not only to hear what we can do but also for them to feel that they are being heard.

I was given the opportunity to explore a different environment when I switched to a financial institution. I was able to service customers regarding different lines of department, starting with credit cards for their billing and account concerns. I also managed to be a part of the company’s collection team which greatly developed my critical thinking skill and interpersonal skill so that we can come to an agreement to settle their balances. Lastly, I have been a part of our customer protection team which aims not only to protect customers from fraud but also the company itself.

dhon-paolo-hernandez-vaDuring those years, it was such a wonderful journey of building what I am right now. To be able to work with a team, and being able to give your utmost effort on every job or task that was assigned to you, are one of the skills I can proudly share. Grabbing this opportunity to share my skills and learn new things by being a virtual assistant will open a number of possibilities that I would wholeheartedly accept. I am not afraid of being criticized or trained since I know from the very beginning that those are the things that will make you a better person than what you are right now.

Being positive in life is one of my perceptions and to keep moving forward, so I am really excited about unraveling this new journey ahead of me. And I am looking forward to sharing what I am capable of, to learn new skills, and to connect with other people.
