Diana Chelangat – Administrative Virtual Assistant

Hello, my name is Diana Chelangat. I am the firstborn in my family. I understand being a firstborn can be tough, but I am proud of it because it has molded me into the person I am today: dependable, resourceful and resilient. I naturally became a deputy parent, being a source of guidance and support to my siblings and also focusing on my personal growth. This dynamic has taught me the importance of perseverance and making tough decisions.

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, finance option. In University, my focus was not only on academics; I did side hustles to support my daily expenses. I worked as a part time content writer and it shaped my writing skills. I also learnt the importance of time management and adaptability. Being reliable in my work and ensuring that I am also on the right side in my academics. The journey wasn’t easy, but it gave me a sense of resilience and independence that drives me till date.

I started my career at St. Claires Mission Hospital Kaplong as an accounts assistant. I focused on bank reconciliation, bookkeeping and maintaining the accuracy of expense reports and invoices. Being in the Billing department, I was entrusted with administrative roles. I handled a variety of tasks such as organising internal processes and managing client communications. These additional roles motivated me and I enjoyed being a problem-solver in a busy environment.

The passion for administrative roles landed me another position at PK Wellness. I handle email correspondence, calendar management, data entry, creating presentations, and supporting several clients. I also helped with accounting tasks such as preparing purchase orders and invoices. I also honed my skills in using different tools, and I introduced Asana as a tool for enhancing team productivity and streamlining operations. I provided unwavering assistance to all who relied on me.

I later enrolled in a Virtual Assistant course, which provided me with insights on the best ways of excelling in virtual remote roles. The 8-week program expanded my ability to provide tailored assistance to clients and ensured I could manage several tasks efficiently.

One aspect I love about my work is working remotely. It offers flexibility in balancing personal life and professional responsibilities. It has helped me in being productive and collaborating with various clients, thus sharpening my communication skills. I thrive in this context and I can focus on different tasks while offering high-quality support regardless of where I am.

Throughout my journey, “No Giving Up” has been my slogan. Being the eldest has made me to be optimistic, and being adaptable to changing circumstances. These qualities make me an individual who can be counted to deliver exceptional results.

My passion is to help others succeed and ensure that clients’ needs are met. I am fully dedicated to offering exceptional results, making a positive impact and building trust in every role.
