Erika Mae Baculo – Administrative Assistant

erika-baculo-vaI’m a 32-year-old married mother of two wonderful daughters, aged 3 and 1. My journey has been shaped by both personal and professional experiences that have led me to where I am today. I began my career as a licenced pharmacist, a role that not only equipped me with valuable skills in healthcare and patient care but also instilled in me a deep sense of responsibility towards the well-being of others. Throughout my time in pharmacy, I had the privilege of interacting with patients from all walks of life, helping them navigate their health challenges with compassion and understanding.

However, life took an unexpected turn that opened up a new chapter in my professional journey. I found myself drawn to the life insurance industry, a path I’ve embraced for over a decade now. This transition was not just a career change; it was a calling that allowed me to make a more profound impact on families’ lives. Through my work, I’ve had the honour of serving numerous Filipino families, guiding them in securing their futures and assisting them in navigating important financial decisions. Each family I assist represents a unique story, and I take great pride in being a part of their journey towards financial security.

My goal is to extend my support even further, using my time and skills to make a positive impact on as many lives as possible. I am deeply service-oriented and approach my work with dedication and a strong commitment to excellence. I believe that every interaction is an opportunity to uplift others, and I strive to do my very best in all I undertake, aiming to honour God in my efforts. This philosophy drives me to constantly seek improvement in my services and to approach each client with empathy and respect.

My academic journey has played a significant role in shaping my professional ethos. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, and throughout my college years, I was proud to be a scholar and a consistent dean’s lister. This dedication to my studies was fueled by a desire to achieve my goals and to give back to my loving parents, who have always supported my dreams. Their sacrifices motivated me to work diligently, and I was determined to make them proud.
In 2015, I successfully passed the board exam and became a licenced pharmacist. I practiced my profession across various settings, including manufacturing, community pharmacy, and hospitals. Each experience enriched my understanding of healthcare and solidified my commitment to serving others. However, my life took an amazing turn when I discovered Pru Life UK. Recognising the potential to combine my passion for helping others with financial planning, I took the Insurance Commission exam and, after hard work and determination, I passed, becoming a licenced financial advisor.

erika-baculo-vaIn just four years, my dedication and commitment were recognised, and I was promoted to unit manager. This role allowed me to not only serve my clients better but also to mentor others in the industry, sharing the knowledge and skills I had acquired over the years. To this day, I am proud to provide services to individuals and families around the globe, helping them navigate their financial futures with confidence and clarity.

As I look to the future, I consider my work a blessing. I am eager to take on the role of virtual assistant, viewing this as an opportunity to utilise my experience and compassion to help even more individuals. I believe that by taking on this new challenge, I can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those I serve. My background in healthcare and finance uniquely positions me to understand the needs of clients, allowing me to provide tailored support and guidance.
In summary, my journey has been one of growth, resilience, and a steadfast commitment to serving others. As a mother, a professional, and a community member, I am dedicated to making a positive impact and look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead. With every step I take, I aim to honour the values instilled in me and to create a legacy of compassion and excellence for my daughters to aspire to.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story. I am hopeful for the opportunity to work with you soon, and I look forward to contributing positively to our shared goals.
