Jenica Anne Lumapay – Customer Support

Hi there! I’m Jenica! I’m from the Philippines, where the sun always shines bright. When I’m not busy, I love getting lost in movies, TV shows, or a good book. And sometimes, I just like to chill with some music playing softly in the background.

I studied Accountancy at the Philippines School of Business Administration, but unfortunately, I had to pause due to financial problems. It was tough, but I had to find a way to support my family.

That’s when I started working. I helped run our small store for a while before we had to close it down. Then, I landed a job in email customer service at our local BPO company. I spent a year there, answering technical questions from customers about our smartwatch product.

During the pandemic, I got a chance to teach English to Japanese students for a bit. It was quite an experience! After teaching for a month or two, I stumbled upon freelancing and became interested in being a VA. Soon after, I found a client who hired me as an Email Customer Support.

Transitioning from an office setting to working at home has been a significant adjustment, yet I’ve found it to be the ideal arrangement for both myself and my family. Beyond fulfilling our financial needs, being present and available for my family is paramount to me, and working from home enables me to prioritize this aspect of my life.

All of my previous jobs have been invaluable in honing a wide array of skills. Not only have I sharpened my ability to meticulously attend to intricate details, but I’ve also become adept at swiftly mastering new tools and technologies as they arise. Problem-solving has become second nature to me, and I pride myself on my efficiency in managing time and adapting seamlessly to diverse work settings. Collaboration is key in any role, and I’ve cultivated a knack for working harmoniously with team members to achieve shared goals. Moreover, I’ve embraced feedback as a means of continuous improvement, constantly striving to enhance my performance and refine my skills.

In addition to these core competencies, I bring to the table proficiency in communication, both written and verbal, exceptional organizational skills, a proactive approach to tasks, and a strong sense of empathy and understanding when dealing with customers. My ability to multitask effectively and remain calm under pressure further bolsters my capability as a valuable asset to any team.

I’m pumped about taking on new challenges with the skills I’ve gained. I’m confident that whatever comes my way, I’ll tackle it with gusto and skill.
