Leo Garcia – Administrative Assistant

Leo-Angelo-Garcia-vaHi! I’m Leo Angelo Garcia. I’m a father of four handsome and beautiful kids, and a supportive husband.

You know, growing up, I was really into music. I wanted to be in a famous rock band and thought that it would be my day job. My band, sure, we get a lot of gigs, small and big ones, but here in the Philippines, it’s just hard to get into the spotlight, especially if you’re not rich or you don’t know someone inside the music industry. I tried to pursue my dream from high school to college, unfortunately, I had to quit college in my second year due to financial reasons. And this is the part of my life that started my journey to the corporate world.

The BPO/call center industry was booming during that year, 2004. I thought I’d give it a shot and try to earn some and help my parents out. I got my first job on my very first walk-in application as a customer service representative for a US-based telecom. I was young and still exploring life, especially as it’s my first corporate experience. It’s not, I would say, a foolproof plan for my career. Again, I was young and meeting lots of different people and engaging in different types of culture, so to me, it’s just like going to school again. But then after a year, I got my ex-girlfriend pregnant.

I was actually happy and excited, and at the same time worried as I don’t have savings yet, but I and my girlfriend worked on it and pushed through as our child grew up. So from customer service, I transferred to a different company as a technical support representative because of the higher pay. During my time there, my “partying ” had gotten worse and my relationship with my ex-girlfriend failed. I took care of my son as she’s more career-driven. A few months later, I met my wife in the same office and we got married after two years, and have been together going eleven years this year with three loving kids.

Leo-Angelo-Garcia-vaMarried life. Through the years of being married, I’ve tried different types of businesses like scrap buying/selling, street-food cart, boba snack shack. I’ve been a chat support/lead generation for an online automotive dealership, business transcriptionist of financial advisers in the US. Worked as a quality assurance for background verification checks and soon became a senior quality check with a team. Then jumped from operations to client management as a client services specialist, then manager.

From all those years working from different companies, different roles, putting up my own businesses, I’d say I have acquired a skill set that fits what you are looking for virtual administrative assistance.

My priorities in life are family, savings, and career. All those years, I wasn’t able to save any as my earnings are just enough to get my family by every day.

I’m hoping that you can give me a chance to share my skills and to help your team to achieve great success.

Thank you and keep safe!
