Mary Basadre – Administrative Assistant, Logistics

mary-angelique-basadre-vaHello, I am Mary Angelique Basadre. I am single and an online seller.

I took up Business Administration Major in Marketing Management from Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan. I am a National Service Passer. My first job was a Medical Representative for a Pharmaceutical Company. I was assigned to the remote areas of Mindanao. I travel from time to time to meet my quotas. I have great salesmanship skills. After that, I worked in the corporate world as purchasing staff. I quote prices from different stores for the items that our company need.

After which, I helped our family’s business to send our youngest brother to school. I worked a sales staff and handled cashiering in our store. I just focused on helping out my family. After some time, I decided to work again in the corporate world as an accounting staff and lived in Manila, away from my family’s house. I lived with my Uncle’s family and stayed there for months. I also helped in their family business. When my Uncle worked abroad, I moved away and rented a place. I enjoyed working with my officemates. We celebrated Christmas and New Year together. We dined out and enjoyed our earnings.

mary-angelique-basadre-vaSuddenly, I had to go home to Cagayan de Oro to help our family business again. Years passed and I got a job at a Veterinary Clinic. It was owned by our family friend. I worked there for months. It was my first time to work in the medical field. I got to meet doctors and clients who made me become a dog lover. I have two dogs now and they’ve become my source of happiness.

Time came when I had to shift my career into the corporate world again. I worked as an Export Staff and handle invoices, bill of lading and documents needed to ship pineapples from the Philippines to abroad. I have to be vigilant to meet deadlines.

When the pandemic hit, I had to resign and become an online seller. I sell oils, fruits and vitamins. I post online and deliver my products to my customers. I enjoy meeting new clients and am able to buy the things that I need. From this work, I got a chance to meet my friends and bond with them.

Because of this pandemic, work from home opportunities came in. I am so lucky to meet the requirements of having my own stable internet connection. I want to apply as Virtual Assistant. I don’t have any background but I do have experiences in the corporate world and I am willing to be trained as a virtual assistant.

I am professional, responsible, enthusiastic and driven to meet my clients’ needs. My motto in life is always to satisfy my clients’ needs and wants and make sure they will have a repeat purchase.
