Mary Rose Catigtig – Administrative Assistant
Hi, I’m Mary Rose B. Catigtig you can call me Mermer for short. I am 30 years old, married and I have one lovely daughter. I graduated Business Administration major in Marketing and Management from St. Paul University Dumaguete in 2014. My hobbies are watching K-drama series or movies, and cooking; my specialty is Chicken adobo, Chicken afritada and my very own version of Spaghetti and Mango float as dessert, I like cleaning the house too; I actually love seeing my place organized and clean It affects my ability to think but since I already have a kid no matter how I clean and arrange things it keeps messing up.
I landed my first job in a motorcycle company as an Operations Clerk and Petty Cash Custodian, I served there for 7 years and a half. The only work experience I have is with them aside from my college internship. Basically, I am familiar with office day-to-day operations, dealing with different kinds of customers, liquidating day-to-day expenses, handling phone calls and emails, and processing and organising documents. I am also a former online seller selling sandals with the brand name “Lei Aarah”, which I got from my daughter’s name. I promote and sell it on Facebook and Instagram to increase the reach of my audience. I am more in the Office, Administrative and Customer support.
I focused on becoming a full-time mom and wife for 2 years now and decided to pursue a career in the virtual industry this year. I believe that women, once we become mothers, shouldn’t let our career goals stop. I have this motto in life “Never give up”. I admit that the transition is hard because it is a new environment for me, I used to be working in an office, facing different kinds of people every day. But because I am eager, I strive hard in learning the flow of work and other factors related to the virtual industry. I attended webinars, VA courses, I did self-study too by watching YouTube videos to gain knowledge and equip myself for the possibilities of landing a job. I am committed to continuous learning because it is a must to adapt to changes and specific needs in this fast-paced world.
I know working from home is a different set-up from working in a day job office, but it is a privilege for me because I can spend more time with my family and able to balance work and life. I am positive and excited to share my knowledge and skills in this dynamic company, being able to give quality service to my future clients and grow into a committed individual and worker in your dynamic team.
