Michelle Valencia – Accounting, Finance and Operations Manager
As I look forward to working with you, I am pleased to share with you bits of who I am and what I can do for you and your business.
My name is Michelle Valencia, and my friends often call me Mich. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy and graduated with Latin Honours as Cum Laude. I am also a Certified Public Accountant by profession and have been working in Corporate Finance for 8 years in different industries and home country operations. My technical finance qualifications involves Financial and Management Reporting, Financial Planning and Analysis, Forecasting, and Budgeting.
Having emerged in the corporate world dealing with a lot people with different personalities and culture has honed my interpersonal skills especially in terms of handling our clients and stakeholders.
Aside from financial transactions, my professional experience have also taught me how to behave well in a business setting like how to effectively manage my emails, schedule meetings and appointments, converse in a professional manner, prepare administrative reports, manage an office which involves all operational transactions from documents to payments processing, and a lot more. I have always been praised by my mentors and supervisors with the quality of work that I deliver and my enthusiasm to always make our processes even more efficient and effective that is beneficial for the whole organisation. For me, this comes together with my eagerness to learn and my ability to understand my tasks in a short amount of time.
As we steer into a more digitised way of doing business, I have developed an interest to join the world of Virtual Assistants wherein I can still do all this work in the comfort of my own space. I have always been interested as to how we can move as much work as we can into an online platform that offers us more convenience in finishing a job while minimising physical interactions and travel time wastage. With my experiences from being an office lady for almost a decade, I can offer a fresh perspective of doing things applying the skills that I have learned along the way.
