Necitas Camasura – Administrative Assistant

necitas-camasura-vaEveryone has a story to tell – this is mine.

Hi, my name is Necitas but you can call me Nice. I am from the Philippines, married and a loving mother of two adorable kids. I’m a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Executive Resource Management. It was a four-year course, but it took me four and a half years to finish the program because I was a working scholar back then. As a working scholar, I needed to render four hours of duty every day in the office where I was assigned to assist the secretary of the Scholarships Office in exchange for 100% free tuition.

After graduation, I spent most of my career working as an office secretary. My last office job was with SVD Southern Province, an international religious congregation, whose main office is in Rome, Italy. They also have offices in Europe, US and around Asia. Being part of that company taught me a lot of values and skills. I have learned how to multitask because I was assisting three bosses. I needed to manage my time very well and learned to prioritise my workloads. It helped me develop my interpersonal skills as well because I had the chance to interact with different people from different countries with different personalities since I was the first point of contact. I also learned the value of confidentiality because I was the one handling confidential matters, and I made sure that those details remained within the four walls on that office.

Before I had my own family, I used to be a breadwinner. I gave financial assistance to my parents, and supported my brother who was still studying back then. Having said that, while working full time in the office, I also had my part time jobs. I used to work as a financial advisor at Pru life UK. The important thing I have learned from being a financial advisor was to have good people skills. For me it is essential to understand and listen to my clients to build trust. A good financial advisor should put their clients’ needs first.

For a short period of time, I worked as an HR assistant. I was in-charge of employee’s attendance, violations, and weekly payroll. I have also performed online jobs before. Most were data entry tasks. I have a little experience in lead sourcing, lead generation and transcription. Though I was working online for about one year only, I have learned the value of accuracy and being reliable. Accurate in the sense that I need to check every detail, especially in the data entry tasks. Reliable in the sense that I need to finish my tasks even before the deadline, so I still have the chance to check and review my work.

I believe that to being reliable and dependable are among the best customer services I can offer. I may not be the “jack of all trades” but I am a person who is very open to learning and willing to be trained if needed. Following are some of the tasks I have handled and some of the tools and apps I have experience with:
