Pauline Regine Cacay – Administrative Assistant

Hi, I’m Pauline Regine Cacay but you can call me Pau. I am 29 years old and a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in a catholic school here in Isabela University of La Salette. While I was studying in my fourth year in college, I encountered some struggles where I almost didn’t graduate because of financial problems; my family couldn’t support my last semester. My mom is a vendor and a former OFW but she’s a single mom and there are 3 of us that she needs to support. I can see the problem that she’s facing; she wants us to graduate but doesn’t have the means to do so. That’s when I started looking for a part-time job. I applied as a service crew in a fast food company here in Roxas, Isabela to support my studies and to help my mom as well. Luckily, I got hired and that’s where I became a working student. And I am very proud that I graduated.

And now as a graduate, I am seeking a job where I can share my talent and skills, to become an asset to the company as well. I started working as a secretary at a printing shop where I developed my customer service skills and computer proficiency as well. In this job, I handle the Facebook account of the company, bookkeeping, inventory management, payroll of employees, graphic designs and chat support. The recent work that I had was being an administrative assistant in a government agency here in Roxas, Isabela where I handled inventory management, payroll management, chat support, social media management, clerical jobs like email management, filing documents, and many more.

When the pandemic hit, I realised that working from home was a great opportunity for us since you can work efficiently in your comfort at home and also have the time to be with your loved ones. This work-from-home has changed my vision from being a reserved employee to a more empowered and being self-reliant motivated one that comes out of her comfort zone.
