Princess Perez – Customer Service Representative

Hello everyone. My name is Princess Aiza Angelyn Perez. Yes, I know that I have a pretty long name but it has a story. I am named by my mom as Princess because I am the first born in the family. My grandfather named me Aiza because when my mom gave birth, we had a very famous child star named Aiza Seguerra and he wanted me to be as famous as her. Lastly, my dad named me Angelyn because I am an Angel sent and Lyn was from my mother’s name, which is Lovelyn. It’s funny that they come up with those names when mom gave birth to me.

I studied at the University of San Jose- Recoletos and I took up Bachelor in Secondary Education. I had English as my major, but I was not able to finish my degree for some financial reasons. After I stopped studying, I have decided to apply and try working for the BPO industry.

I started working in the BPO industry back on 2012. My first employer was Aegis PeopleSupport and I was on a retention account. I give my salary to my mom so that I can also support my younger siblings. I left the company to work as a Technical Support.

Few months later, my partner, who is now my husband, and I wanted to get pregnant and it’s hard to get pregnant if you work in the BPO industry so I had to resign. I got pregnant on the same year. I met my husband when we were both studying as high school students in one of the Universities in the Philippines. When we first knew each other, I already knew that he is the one for me. However, when we reached college we lost our connection and we kept going with our lives. He found a lover and I found a new lover as well. 7 years after we lost communication, we found each other again and it was on my birthday. He was very happy he found me again on social media and so did am. I felt like the missing puzzle was completed.

Going back to the story, I stopped working for 4 years and was looking after our child. After a few years of staying at home, I realized how hard it is to be just staying at home. I then decided to start working again and tried my luck applying. I was hired in a Telecommunications account and had a fun stay in the company. I love the management and the people I worked with. I fell in love with the company and was really happy working there. I was able to help my team leader a lot when it comes to generating a good score in our team. There were times as well that he would ask me to be the teams POC whenever he will be on leave and I like the feeling of being the POC of the team. It was a nice feeling to see how my team mates do their best as well so that they can also be a good contributor in our team. They also listen to me whenever our manager will ask me to cascade information to them. They listen to me every time I tell them what they have to do so that they can generate a good score.

However, life has it’s ups and downs. No matter how happy we are, we sometimes have trials that we have to face. I found out that my partner was cheating on me with his officemate. I was at the point that I don’t want to live anymore but I still have to go to work because of the responsibilities that I have not just at home but also in the office. I always just thought about my child and that I have to make sure that I can put food on our table. I kept going and always thought that the trials we have in our marriage is something that we can overcome.

Eventually, my husband had realized that family really matters. He stopped communicating with the person he cheated me on and we kept going. Our relationship was harmonious again and we both trusted each other again. We are both working on our promotions and was again happily working. While working, we got a bad news about my husband’s dad. His dad loved me like I was his own child. When we got the news that he was dying, we were both devastated. We had to go home to my husband’s hometown and decided to stay in his hometown.

A few month’s after, I found out that I was pregnant. A baby that we have also long wanted for. A blessing that we have always asked for. I was already working in my husband’s hometown when I found out that I was pregnant. It was still in a BPO industry. We were both very happy when we found out that we are having another baby.

June of 2021. I stopped working and would want to try my luck working in a home setting, hoping that I will be able to get a client and be a mom at home.

Life is not as easy as it always seems. We should always keep going and no matter what trials we will have in life. Let us all remember that if we believe in ourselves that we can make it then we surely can make it. It’s a beautiful day. Always look at the bright side and be thankful for what you have. Always keep that positive energy you have in you and keep going.
