Ragelyn Furuyama – Administrative Assistant

Hi! I am Ma Ragelyn Gail Furuyama, you may call me Gail. I am a mother of two beautiful pre-teen boys. I studied AB Communications at Southville International School and Colleges, and I also have a background in Business Management such as Business Environment, Leadership, Marketing, Human Resource Management, and Basic Accounting from Pearson University.

I’ve always thought that success was measured when you’re a part of and hold a high position in a big corporation, as that’s how our elders measure their success back in the day. However, having worked as an Executive Assistant, I realized that I am passionate about helping others achieve their goals personally and professionally. I am also passionate about learning. I have devoted myself to learning new things each day. I always try my best to upskill and reskill myself, always finding ways to improve as a person and as a professional. Through my background in Business Management, my partner and I started our own business in the serviced short-term accommodation industry. We opened an online store where we sell footwear and clothing.

However, while helping out on the said businesses, I realized that my passion relies elsewhere. It was through helping others succeed, and I consider that a great accomplishment. The idea of working from home never crossed my mind when I was working as an Executive Assistant for the Head of Logistics in my previous job. However, realizing the benefits of working from home gave new light to what I could accomplish more when working from the comforts of my home. It gives the work-life balance that every person wants. I am happy that we have this kind of opportunity today, to be able to do what we love and still manage to have balance in our lives.

I believe my love for learning new things to improve myself would never change since I know this would help me assist people better regardless of their status, and to produce the outstanding quality of work, and serve them to my fullest potential.

I always care about what I do, I believe in always doing my best and making myself accountable for everything that I do. I always pay attention to detail, which helps me analyze and solve problems as effectively as I can. However, my greatest strength I believe is that I love learning. I love joining free webinars in order to gain more knowledge about things I am interested in.

As a mother, I am an advocate for social awareness. My family and I try our best to do an outreach program every now and then in order to give to the less fortunate. I feel I am blessed beyond words and I would like to share the joy and passion that I have within to anyone who needs it.
