Reynadith Pandan – General Virtual Assistant

Hi, I am Reynadith Pandan, you can call me Ren. I graduated with a degree in Business Administration majoring in Entrepreneurial Marketing from Mindanao State University-Main Campus in June 2016 and worked for the government in September of the same year.

I started my employment career as a financial analyst in the Department of Social Welfare and Development under KALAHI-CIDSS program for six years. One of my main tasks is to input all financial transactions in an offline database, maintain and keep it updated to be uploaded in the financial management system, and prepare monthly reports and bank reconciliation. I also provide technical assistance to the stakeholders as I review disbursement vouchers to ensure completeness, correctness, and consistency of the pieces of information and that it adheres to the existing implementing rules and regulations on government procurement and accounting policies. I also prepare and monitor work and financial plans and ensure that all activities with a budget are conducted on the target time.

Working for 6 years, I learned to be keen to detail, manage my time effectively and work under pressure to be able to deliver my deliverables on time and work on other aspects of my life. I develop management skills as I have to collaborate with our partner agencies, the non-government organisations as well as the community of the different places I was assigned. It allows me to interact with different people and I was able to learn to create rapport. My job allowed me to visit different places and appreciate the opportunity to work and travel.

During the height of the pandemic, I was given the opportunity to work as a teacher on an online platform and it introduces me to the opportunity of working from home. I realise the benefit of being able to work in the comfort of my home. I was able to spend time with my family and was able to save money for transportation. I was able to manage my work-life balance and become more productive and efficient working as an online teacher while accomplishing my tasks as a finance analyst. I wanted to be able to have more time to do what I love and work on aspects of my life as I always wanted to grow. I hope I get to achieve this through the help of online engagement.

I am excited as opportunities arise for me to learn, demonstrate my ability, and have a valuable impact in the industry.
