Rose Ann Arroyo Espuelas – Transcriptionist
Hi! My name is Ann.
I am a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Psychology major in Special Education. I am also a licensed professional teacher as of 2016. But get this, I never wanted to be a teacher! Yeah, I know. But you see, for me, it’s more than just a profession or something you do for a living… teaching is a talent and you need to have patience the size of Texas. My mother was a teacher all her life so I know how hard the job was. So I’m trying to steer away from that career for as long as I can, but without closing my door to that possibility.
I was a voicemail transcriptionist for about three and a half years before I became a Customer Service Associate for an American cable company in one of the largest BPO companies in the Philippines.
I resigned from my job after four and a half years. The reason was I didn’t want to keep dragging myself every day to do what I simply didn’t want to do anymore. The pay was good, but I was unhappy. And so that was when I started my home-based career.
I am currently working as a general transcriptionist which may seem to be very trivial, but it works for me because that’s what I used to do and my specific skillset made it easy for me.
I am very detail-oriented, excellent at meeting deadlines, and I have an average typing speed of 85 WPM. I also learned useful skills from being a Customer Service Associate that I think every employee should have. One of them is being a ‘people person’ because we are customers, too! Show customers that you care and listen attentively to what your customers are saying without actually saying it. I learned how to be proactive and when and how to use positive language.
On a more personal note, I love to travel, binge watch ‘Friends’, ‘Grey’s Anatomy’, ‘Criminal Minds’, and ‘The Blacklist’. I also enjoy being outdoors, camping, hiking, and water sports.
So with that being said, I believe that I am cut out to perform whatever job you need me to do and I can assure you high quality work will be delivered.
