Roxanne Janabajab – Customer Service Representative

roxanne-janabajab-vaHi! My name is Roxanne Janabajab. You can call me Anne for short. I am 28 yrs old and I have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, which I completed in 2014. I’ve always been the kind of person who finds satisfaction in helping other people. I believe that’s the reason why I have been in the customer service industry for almost 6 years now.

I started in the BPO Industry as a Customer Service Representative — having accounts under a Cable and Internet Provider wherein I handled general and billing inquiries and performed some basic troubleshooting. After that, I became a Benefits Associates for US employees — for which I assisted them in enrolling with their health savings account, eventually, I became part of the team that handles employees who have inquiries, complaints, and disputes in regard to their Health saving account and Flexible Spending Account.

In 2019, I got the chance to work overseas as an Aviation Guiding Officer at Dubai International Airport — I was one of the ground employees inside the airport and assisted passengers with whatever queries they might have. My original contract of 2 years has been cut short due to the pandemic in 2020. When I tried to look for a new job, I got accepted as a Business Consultant – I can say that this has been the most challenging job I’ve ever had, aside from having no prior experience in the position, I didn’t have any proper training as well. I have to learn everything by myself; from making my banners to how I could market and advertise on different social media platforms. These are just part of my job; my main task is to help clients register their business licenses before they can operate in the UAE.

roxanne-janabajab-vaThroughout my career, you’d notice I have worked in a variety of industries, and I can honestly say I excelled in every one of them. I am flexible and can quickly adapt to changes. As someone who had been working in the Customer Service Industry, I have come to learn things and techniques on how I should handle different types of customers. I am a reliable, diligent worker, with almost 100% attendance over my employment history. A quick learner, I’m always striving to improve myself.

Since we now have the opportunity to work from home, I have already set a long-term goal. I wanted to focus more on having a work-life balance because I believe that it is essential to be a more productive and efficient employee. I am also continuously upskilling to broaden my knowledge and gain other experiences. I have various certificates for being a Virtual Assistant which will be a great tool to prepare me for more opportunities.
