Sajol Ramdaw – Receptionist, Administrative Assistant

My name is Sajol Ramdaw. I am 23 years old. I am excited to apply for the Job seeker position at Virtual Assistant Team. With a strong background in administrative roles, teaching, and customer service, I am confident that my diverse skill set and work experience will allow me to make a positive contribution to your team.

My professional journey began at Imbali Signs, where I worked as a Receptionist handling general office duties. I was responsible for scheduling appointments and coordinating office activities. This role allowed me to refine my organisational and communication skills, as I managed multiple calendars and ensured smooth operations within the office. Unfortunately, I left when the company relocated, but this experience gave me a strong foundation in administrative work.

Following this, I worked as an Administrative Assistant/Receptionist at Malvern Primary School. In this role, I was responsible for data capturing and entering student marks into the SA SAMS system. This position developed my attention to detail, time management, and data-entry skills, which are vital for ensuring accurate and efficient task completion. After the contract ended, I moved on to the next opportunity.

At Brabetz Carpet Mill, I took on a similar role as a Receptionist and handled switchboard operations. This job further honed my multitasking abilities and enhanced my customer service skills, as I regularly answered calls, assisted customers, and managed office communications. It also reinforced my ability to work under pressure and stay organised, skills I now consider vital for remote and virtual work environments.

Currently, I am employed as a Tutor at “A”-Chiever’s Academy, where I teach Afrikaans and English. This role has greatly improved my communication and teaching skills, as I interact with students regularly and adjust my approach to meet their individual needs. This role has also helped me develop patience, adaptability, and problem-solving skills, which are essential when working with clients remotely.

In addition to tutoring, I work as a TEFL Educator at TEFL Universal, where I teach English to students around the world. This role has enhanced my ability to communicate effectively in a virtual environment and to tailor my approach to meet the needs of a diverse group of learners. The experience has also strengthened my ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks in a remote setting, skills that are directly transferable to a Virtual Assistant role.

Over the course of my career, I have gained experience in scheduling, office administration, data entry, and customer service. I am proficient in tools such as Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and project management platforms like Trello and Asana, which I am confident will help me excel in managing a variety of tasks as a Virtual Assistant. My strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate effectively will allow me to contribute to your team’s success.

I am particularly drawn to the Virtual Assistant Team because of its focus on providing tailored, high-quality support to clients. I am excited about the opportunity to bring my skills, experience, and passion for helping others to your company and contribute to the success of your clients.

Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the possibility of discussing how I can support your clients and be a valuable addition to your team.
