Sofia Batong – Administrative Assistant

sophia-batong-vaHello! My name is Sofia and I want to share with you my story.

I am a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Major in Financial Management. Originally, I was set to finish my studies in 2017 but I graduated in June 2018. I fell pregnant with my son and that’s why I had to stop my schooling. But during that pause in my studies, I was able to gain a new perspective in life which taught me most of the lessons and traits that I have today.

In my previous jobs, I worked as an Admin Assistant for a Dutch based company. I was working hand in hand with the CFO, assisting him in processing of invoices and bookkeeping. Additionally, I worked alongside the HR Manager through monitoring the time record of all the employees in the company. After more than a year in that company, I became a loan processor for an Australian outsource company. I worked directly with the mortgage broker in assisting him from pre-settlement through post-settlement of the applications. My tasks would include data entry, email management, regular calls with banks and working options for the broker’s clients. I had also a part-time job with a dropshipping company where I also mostly process orders, record daily sales and profits and sometimes do chat support.

With my professional work experiences, I have acquired different skills that I could provide you with:

Throughout my journey, I developed my skills in written and oral communication. Through working with different people of different ages and nationalities, I was able to enhance my interpersonal skills. I would consider myself resilient, patient and understanding of situations. Before I do things, I always put myself in other’s shoes. Usually, I would listen before giving advice which I have applied to my jobs.
