Trishia Miranda – Social Media Manager, Customer Service Representative

trishia-miranda-vaI graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality and Restaurant Management and had the opportunity to do my postgraduate internship internationally in award-winning golf, marina, and beach resort hotel located in Hilton Head Island, SC, United States. After my internship, I was fortunate enough to work for them for a couple of years before I decided to move back home.

During my stay abroad, I have learned different skills that help shape who I am today. I met different types of people from different cultures, learned to appreciate the values my family taught me, the value of integrity, and also that hard work always pays off. Working in the hospitality industry taught me to always anticipate customers’ needs, give them the best service you can offer, and make sure that they are important. I have also worked for different foreign companies. My previous work experience includes working for renowned financial institutions in the United States as a customer service representative, working as a dispute specialist, and a technical support specialist for a telecommunications company. With that being said, it is evident that I am very flexible in terms of learning new things and am very open to change. I can also say that I am an expert in customer service both virtually, over the phone, or face to face. I also have minimal experience in graphic design like creating social media graphics, menus, flyers, social media ads, and logos.

I have excellent communication skills, can work under minimal supervision, have great work ethics, passionate about everything I do rest assured I will give my 100%. With regards to my VA experience, I have attended multiple courses for virtual assistants so rest assured I am equipped with the right tools and skill set. I may be a newbie in the Virtual Assistant world but with my experiences and skills, I can be the right Virtual Assistant for you! I believe that aside from skills and experiences, a positive mindset and willingness to grow are more important. After all, a master was once a student. So if given the chance, I will do my very best to give you the best service I can give.

I want to share more about me so you can get to know me. I am the eldest among my siblings. My sister lives in the United Kingdom and works as a nurse. We are extremely close and would do everything together. Now that she lives far away, we make sure to keep in touch every day and share our day with each other. I live with my mom here in the Philippines as my dad passed away last 2018.

trishia-miranda-vaTraveling and learning about different cultures are some of my hobbies. Whenever I travel I make sure that I immerse myself in the country’s culture, day-to-day activities, food, and traditions. I also love to learn different languages. I speak excellent English, Tagalog, Spanish (in my hometown we speak “broken spanish” which is called Chavacano. The Philippines has various dialects depending on where you come from), a little bit of Serbian, a little bit of Hokkien (the kind of Chinese used in the Philippines), I understand Mandarin but have a hard time speaking and a little bit of French. I want to be more fluent in these languages but I’m still working on it.

Hiking, baking, and trying out new things are some of the things I love to do. I also have a love affair with food, I try out different restaurants and recipes and I review them on Instagram. I am not a picky eater but I enjoy and appreciate good food. Working at a fine dining restaurant abroad, I developed a fondness for wine. We had to try the different types of wines and make sure we offer the best pairings. I wanted to go on a wine tour at one point but was not able to do it. Hopefully, I’ll be able to do it soon.

I am a mom of 6 cats. You might think it’s a lot of work, yes it is but I love animals and I enjoy their company. My cats help me in coping with stress and make me happy. They are one of the reasons why I want to work from home because I get to spend more time with them and take care of them. I sometimes volunteer in our community to help feed stray cats and dogs because there is a lot here in the Philippines. Soon I want to volunteer to spread awareness about animal cruelty, how to properly take care of our pets, and ways to help these stray animals. They deserve love and care too. Since my boyfriend and I are in the process of building a house, once we move to our own place I want to get a dog and a bunny too so my cats will have more playmates.
