Vanessa Noelle Zamora – Virtual Assistant, Senior Customer Experience Specialist
Hi, I am Vanessa Noelle Zamora, you can call me Vanessa. I am 29 years old destined to be a cat lady. Most people would already be married or having kids at this age, but I’m still a little kid inside, healing my inner child. I love to go on adventures like mountain climbing, surfing, camping and voluntary activities such as animal rescue. During the weekends, I feed stray cats and dogs on the streets.
I have come a long way; from working as a Call Center Agent 10 years ago to working from home as a Virtual Assistant today. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from Leyte Normal University. During my 3rd year in college, I had to stop my studies as Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) hit our province way back in 2013. Our home was completely gone, but what’s important is that all my family is safe.
In November 2014, I started my very first job as a Customer Service Representative in a BPO company in Cebu, Philippines. I was 19 years old back then when I decided to work and live far away from my family. There, I was working with a Telecommunications company based in the United States. It was my first time working and it had to be on the night shift. Adapting to the work schedule didn’t have that much of a challenge since I’m already used to staying up late at night. The experience was fun and scary altogether. Around 2016, I decided to resign since I already had enough money saved up so I could finish my studies.
Through the years, I have gradually changed my niche from Customer Service to Virtual Assistance, specifically eCommerce Management. In 2019, I was a Merchant Support for Shopify, one of the biggest eCommerce platforms in the world. My core responsibility was to manage merchant inquiries via chat and email, as well as website maintenance such as basic coding HTML and CSS. Additionally, I managed orders, updated customer profiles, and handled billing concerns such as refunds and returns.
Then come 2020, I applied at RadiantCycles.com as an eCommerce Virtual Assistant remotely. That’s when everything changed for me. From waking up 2 hours early, commuting to work, getting stuck in traffic and allotting money for transportation expenses, to finally working in the comfort of my own home. I could wake up 30 minutes before my shift without having to take a bath or dress up or commute! I have started to live life with a little less stress when I worked remotely.
