Aprilyn Romasanta – Lead Trainer, Customer Service Representative

Hello, my name is April. I am from the province of Bulacan, situated north of Manila, Philippines. Our province is popularly known for its historical sites, nostalgic old houses and churches, idyllic ecological attractions, religious attractions, and a wide selection of elegant native crafts and sumptuous delicacies.

I worked in the BPO industry for 16 years until last year, when I decided to put up a small food business. I started as a customer service representative where we interacted with customers to address their concerns, answer their questions and assist them with their needs. I also had a sales background, where I showcased my ability to network, build relationships with clients and persuade others to purchase products.

After years of experience as an agent for a customer service and sales representative role, I was given the opportunity to be promoted as a trainer. I handled different LOB’s where I created and delivered learning programs to teach employees skills that are beneficial for their professional development. I worked with operation managers, implementation managers, and associates. After a year, I was promoted as a Lead Trainer where I was tasked to assess the employees’ training needs by conducting a TNA or training needs analysis, supervised internal training programs, and was in charge of the day-to-day activities of assigned trainers. I am passionate about training, so I love sharing what I know with others.

I am currently looking for an opportunity to work remotely. Throughout my 16-year career, I have developed a diverse range of soft and hard skills that make me a valuable asset. I am highly adaptable and able to thrive in fast-paced and challenging environments. I possess excellent organisational and time management skills, enabling me to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

Furthermore, I have demonstrated proficiency in utilising CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant software applications. I am a quick learner, always eager to expand my knowledge and skills to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving industry.

Outside of work I simply enjoy lying on a couch, playing online games, or watching a good movie on Netflix. In my previous employment, I did a lot of physical work and typically arrived home tired. I learned to listen to my body and it demands rest, so I give it to it. On weekends, however, I like to do short trips or ride a motorcycle with my family.

I am also a big fan of cooking. I love trying out new recipes and experimenting in the kitchen. The whole process is very satisfying, from planning the meal to sitting down and enjoying it with my family and pets. And of course, it’s always great to have a tasty home-cooked meal instead of eating out all the time.
