Brandon Louise Shane Peñas – Digital Marketing Consultant, Social Media Manager
Hi, I’m Shane Peñas, people call me “Sha”, I graduated from AMA Computer Colleges in Makati City under the course of Bachelor of ScieBrandon Louisence in Information Technology. I also do beauty content through social media as my passion project and my leisure time.
It all began during my final years of college (2021) I started exploring working online as a side hustle in order to develop my skills.
From there, I started taking virtual assistance tasks and building my experiences such as data entry, digital marketing, social media management, e-commerce (Amazon), graphic design for employers, companies, clients, entrepreneurs, and individuals. As most of them are work from home, which I have not experienced on working to a on-site or physical offices ever since I started working online and interestingly enough, I started working during the pandemic.
I’ve learned the different cultures and communication styles of working with international clients from the US, UK, Europe, India, AUS and even local agencies. That made me realise that adaptability is important whenever you meet new people because you”ll never know what they have in store for you whether if it’s something that is useful for your growth or not.
During my freelancing journey, I also learned to be resourceful as I swallowed the hard pill that only you or yourself can only learn the things that you want, and there are some people who doesn’t have time or budget to train or spoon-fed of what you need to do for them. Say for example that I wanted to learn a new skill or a specific tool for my career, I just look for some free resources or invest in some paid resources that could just help me clarify and move to the next step.
I also realised that learning doesn’t end when you finish school, it also applies to the things that we may not know be it on learning on how to drive a vehicle, how to do adulting stuff, manage your finances, how to do makeup for a job interview or for an event, and some things that are not taught in school.
My appreciation of progress came into the picture when I experienced numerous rejections, setbacks, and failures. It somehow reminded me that it is part of natural growth. Where I slowly embraced it and learned that there are some days that aren’t just rainbows and sunsets or in other words full of good days and successes. There will be always a challenge or a barrier before you get there only if you are willing to proceed.
I know that I still have a lot of opportunities to grow and develop my career as this also serves my passion as well.
My compassion really motivated me to help others grow, succeed, and pursue their goals in life.
