Camille D. Marcaida – Customer Service Representative

camille-marcaida-portraitHi! I’m Camille Marcaida. I am a Bachelor’s degree holder of Travel and Tourism Management in Lyceum of the Philippines Manila. I graduated in 2014. Right after graduation, I was able to pursue my career in the Business Processing Outsource Industry.

I worked for a US-based Telecommunications company for three years as a Customer Service Representative. My main job was to handle calls engaging with different concerns from our customers. I also worked for an Australian based Multimedia company for two years and was able to get my promotion in my fourth month, from Customer Care to Resolution Specialist. I handled supervisor calls, basic technical support, engaged in calls and emails and also worked as an appointment setter.

Later on, I realised that I needed to take a step forward in achieving my goals, not just as a mum but as a working professional as well. I realised that I’m not getting any younger and I needed to sustain the needs of my family. So as a self-starter, I was able to set up a virtual office so that I could work from home and to be able to spend more time with my kids.

camille-d-marcaida-profileMy first ever home-based job was with a US-based company as a Virtual Assistant. Basically, my job was more on administrative and clerical work that includes document preparation, maintaining files and record keeping.

My knowledge of a wide variety of computer programs allows me to easily take on nearly any task I am assigned to. I always believe that the most important attribute that the VA should have is being reliable, that’s why I always make sure that I take pride in completing assignments on time and with accuracy.
