Charmaine Hernandez – Digital Marketing

charmaine-hernandez-formalMy name is Charmaine, but you can call me Charm. I am 35 years old, proud Filipina and a mum to 4 – sometimes rowdy, sometimes adorable, most of the time naughty, but always loved – BOYS. Yes! With my husband included, I have my very own basketball team.

I started my career in the BPO industry in 2003 as a Customer Service Representative for DELL Computers. During my first year, I handled inbound calls and later on shifted to Email Support. In 2006, I became a Customer Service Rep for GM Cars – doing Phone and Email Support for more than 3 years. I decided to try something new and joined a financial institution as a Process Executive for “The world’s local bank” where I handled debit card disputes from clients in the UK.

After 6 years of providing exemplary customer service to US and UK clients, I started looking for a more challenging role. I always believed that Customer Service is my strongest suit, so in order to grow professionally, I applied and got hired as Level 2 Tech Support for a Satellite TV service provider in the US. Here I performed basic troubleshooting and also assisted subscribers with their account-related or billing queries.

charmaine-hernandez-vaIn 2011, my husband introduced me to Project Management (AT&T Business Services – US). So I shifted from a simple customer service role in a B2C environment to one focused on B2B relations. This is where I learned the importance of building personal relationships in order to have a successful business relationship. In this role, emotions like confidence, trust and compassion were essential to have a strong and long-lasting relationship with our clients.

Fast forward – I am now a full-time Digital Marketing Project Manager for a web design company. I’m the person who looks for flaws in the process, finds ways to improve them, and consistently drives the productivity of everyone around me. It’s what earned me a promotion as a Senior Digital Marketing Project Manager. To be honest, what drew me to work for this start-up company is the free food, fixed schedule, bean bags and casual dress code. And while all of those things sound cool (coming from an all-too-corporate company), what I really love about my job is the collaborative and fun environment! I get to work with very talented people who are experts in Design, Web development, SEO, Content writing, among others. I constantly work with our team to form the best internet marketing strategy for our clients.

Excellent customer service, project management, problem solving, and time management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively. I am deadline-driven, a strategic thinker, and strong collaborator who works well in fast-paced environments. I am excited to use my skills and experience to help you achieve your goals!
