Chelsea Reyes – Customer Service Respresentative

chelsea-lizette-reyes-vaHi! My name is Chelsea Lizette Reyes but everyone calls me Chelsea. My parents got the name from the US President’s daughter Chelsea Clinton. I am a loving single mom of my two beautiful sons. Being a single mom is tough. Because I was raised by my auntie since my parents have to work in Kuwait where I was born before I stayed in the Philippines, I learned to be very independent. This is the reason why I became pregnant at an early age of 18.

Before I got pregnant to my first born, I started working as a sales demo at a Mall here in Lipa, Batangas. I have to stand 8 hours straight and encourage customers to buy our merchandise. It is hard but I was able to finish my contract and did not plan to renew since I know deep down in me that I can do better. After I gave birth, I decided to apply again as a cashier and as a customer service attendant in a popular store in our place. Then and there it was clear to me that I have strong people skills. I developed more in communicating to people. Learning the curves and ups and downs of the people that I communicate with.

2013 – After finishing the contract with my last job, I decided to enter the BPO industry. I applied as a Technical support agent and was promoted as a subject matter expert in a span of just 3 months. However, despite of my career growth, my son got sick and I decided to stay with him and focus on him more. I was always away during the times that he needs me so I decided to resign and make it up to him first. I learned a lot from my first job in the BPO industry and promised myself that once everything is okay, I will return and work again in the same industry which I did.

2015 – I applied and got back on track in the contact center business. I was accepted to work with a health care campaign which helped me a lot in improving my knowledge and skill. My team leaders saw my potential and promoted me again as a subject matter expert. A year after, I was transferred to another account since they saw that I will have more career growth if they transfer me to a different account. I was a performer, a team player, always reliable when it comes to company needs since I also need the company so I can provide for my son.

2019 – After working for the same account, the management finally decided that I am ready to step up as a supervisor. They promoted me and I learned a lot from that experience. From being understanding, loyal, trustworthy, and how to become not only a good leader but a follower as well. I was able to learn a lot of admin tasks and even be better on my most favorite thing to do – talk to people and observe.

A year of being a supervisor was such a fruitful year, but it was also the year that I had to give up. My son was growing up and as a single mom, I value every single moment that I have and will have with him. That time, many of my co-supervisor was already resigning because they choose to work from home.

Honestly at first I was unsure, but since I love the feeling of adventure and excitement. I started applying home based jobs. I was lucky to find a decent home based job for a health insurance campaign which made me trust myself that I can do better. While working from home I was also able to do my side jobs which is my passion. Designing tattoo art and t-shirt graphics. I love tattoos. I believe that the world is just a dull place without art. I am happy that I am able to do the things I love and most specially be there for my son.

I got pregnant and just gave birth last November. I resigned from my homebased job because I wanted to give my new born the mother’s 3 month rule. I started getting project-based jobs and helping out one of my friend who is a Director of sales. He also asks me for advice when it comes to sale strategies since he knows that I am always nailing it when it comes to sales. I am a Sales Rockstar. From the day I started working in the BPO industry and up until now.

Right now, I am hoping to work with the company and a client that I can work hand in hand in achieving our goals and a company where I can prove my loyalty and reliability so I can stay with them long-term.

I am looking forward in working with you soonest.
