Daryl Contemprato-Verzosa – General Virtual Assistant

Hi there!

My name is Ms. Daryl Contemprato-Verzosa. I am 36 years old and a proud mother of 2 children – an eight-year old daughter and an eight-month old baby boy.

For the past 15 years, I have worked in a multicultural and extended-hour work environment acquired through my hospitality career in cruise lines and manufacturing industry, dealing with strict implementation of quality control standards and maintaining safety in the workplace. I have developed the right attitude, very good communication and leadership skills, strong work ethic, a keen eye for detail, and a knack for solving complex problems. I started my professional career as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing company, then later on shifted to hospitality in a cruise ship, where I worked as a cook in the galley. During my time as a Chef, I have been assigned to different stations, practiced safety at work, and applied public health guidelines at all times. I adhere to the Executive Chef’s instructions, and I respect the chain of command at work. This has allowed me to improve my ability to multitask whilst helping other team members and create a positive impact on the ship’s galley operation. With my extensive working experience, I am confident that I can provide valuable contributions to the company. I have a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering but finally decided to make a career shift and focused on my culinary expertise last 2013.

I recently took a leap and decided to make a career shift into the exciting world of freelancing where I can leverage my newfound expertise. I have decided to look for a full time work in a remote set up so I can also fulfil my duties as a mother. I may not have yet many years of experience in the same field, but I have worked for many years dealing with a diverse set of people and different kinds of management styles and functions. I take pride in ensuring guest service satisfaction and making our values and mission turn into reality every step of the way.

I would like to highlight how my diverse experiences and passion for continuous learning have equipped me for this new position. My natural curiosity has pushed my enthusiasm to adapt to evolving trends, gain relevant skills, and cull together insights through online training and certifications, which can be beneficial for my career growth. I just recently completed all my badges in Lean Six Sigma with all the belts under my name certified by the CSSC, or the Council for Six Sigma Certifications. I also completed my Must Have Skills (Training) for Virtual Assistant, and I am on my way to finish the paid training in Digital Marketing.

My passion for continuous learning, adaptability, attention to details, organisational skills, and flexibility are some of my strong points, and I must say that I can anticipate the tasks that will be outlined for me for any particular position or role that I may fit it and make sure that these are properly and proactively addressed. I thrive in cross-functional teams where I can share perspectives, learn from others, and deliver results. I am motivated to work hard because it is a great opportunity for me to share the body of knowledge that I have acquired throughout my upskilling journey. I am more than eager to learn and grow professionally with a team that promotes work and life balance and values life, friendship, teamwork, collaboration, and open communication.
