Glenn Entoma – Administrative Assistant, Financial Planning

glenn-entoma-vaHello. My name is Glenn. I am single but the head of the family and here is my story.

I am a graduate of Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from the University of San Jose Recoletos. I graduated as a Cum Laude. I was an intern at ABS-CBN and Sinulog Foundation and worked as a production staff during my senior years. Weeks after graduation, I was already hired in Accenture as Data/Billing Analyst and worked there for 4 years and 8 months.

Currently, I am working as a Senior Financial Planning Assistant in Virtual Business Partners. Some of my key roles include Superannuation, Investment and Pension Comparison using WealthSolver, insurance comparison in Risk Researcher, meeting pack preparations and supporting my financial planners/advisers with their various administrative works. I have been using CRMs such as XPLAN, WorkSorted and Salesforce.

Growing up, I have been exposed by my father to sports. I was a First Dan Black Belt in Karatedo and was actively glenn-entoma-vacompeting from 2003 to 2009. During my college years, having zero knowledge in volleyball, my friends invited me to play and I feel in love at first hit. Until now, before pandemic, I have been playing competitive volleyball on the weekends. I consider myself as a team player. I am ambitious and driven. I am well-organized, a self-leader and I set firm goals to myself.

2020 was the darkest time of my life. My athletic father unexpectedly died in August 2020 at age 58. With two siblings in their young teenage years and a housewife mother, I told myself to step up as head of the family and set myself as a good example. I have learned that death can really be unexpected at times.

There is no knowing when the final curtain will fall. So as cliché as it may sound, really do live every day as though it is your last. There are no guarantees in life. Tomorrow is not guaranteed.
