Hyjea Cabatingan – Customer Service Representative

My name is Hyjea Cabatingan. My mission to help others led me to where I am right now! I am a mother of two, a daughter and a son. I started working when my daughter was 2 months old. Within 2 months of staying at home, taking care of our newborn child and my husband made me realize that this is not the life I want. I am not saying that being a full time mom and housewife is an easy job but deep within me is someone who wants to go out and work. Ever since I was a kid, growing up without a father and seeing my mother as the breadwinner of the family, made me want to be a professional person someday too, a person who has a stable job and can provide a comfortable life to his family and with that dream and determination a working mother was born.

I did not expect that I would be working in the BPO industry. With its popularity, the BPO industry provides a variety of jobs for everyone seeking a higher pay grade and a convenient time especially to mothers like me. Doing customer service for 7 years has never been a satisfying job for me. I look at it as a job that only provides food on our table, until I asked God what is really my purpose in life. I asked Him for guidance in everything I do so that I can help my family and others who need help.

With His guidance slowly by slowly I found what my mission in life is. God introduced me to the Life Insurance Industry. At first I was hesitant as I am not good at sales, and however I pushed my luck in and became a licensed Financial Advisor. This is where I started to realize my mission. My mission is not to have a job but to help people. He made my customer service support job and being a financial advisor as a tool to help people. To help in making their concerns addressed, to help in securing a family’s future and to help in finding solutions to every problem. And now I want to take another step in helping people, I want to help in a more personalized way. I would also want to help my children to have a mother whom they can always reach out to whenever they need one.

So this is where God leads me now, my journey in becoming a Virtual Assistant where I can assist clients remotely who need support with their day to day tasks. It’s a guarantee that my passion to become your Virtual Assistant comes from the heart of a mother, who treats clients the same as how she treats her children.
