Irish Rubin – General Virtual Assistant

Hello, I am Irish Rubin. A 23-year-old girl, who is still exploring life. I’ve always believed that growth comes through experience, and that’s exactly what I am focused on right now— learning, adapting, and discovering new opportunities. Growing up with a strict parent, I was taught the value of hard work and responsibility, which has shaped how I approach life and work today.

I graduated in 2023 with a degree in Business Administration, majoring in Financial Management, from Bukidnon State University. College was a time of both academic achievement and personal growth, and I learned the importance of applying knowledge in real world. 2 months after graduation, I worked at Badiangon Waterpark in Human Resources, and customer service. I processed payroll, assisted guests, and supported team with various tasks. This role taught me how to be organised, adaptable, and efficient under pressure.

Financial struggles have been a significant motivator for me to pursue a better future. Poverty pushed me to seek opportunities where I could grow personally and professionally. A friend of mine, who is currently a virtual assistant, introduced me to the idea of working from home, and their experience inspired me to explore this field. I realised that maybe, in some aspects, it could provide not only financial stability but also the flexibility to balance work and personal life.

As I gained more experience, I realised that my passion lies in helping businesses run smoothly, and supporting people in meaningful ways. I took a leap of faith and became a virtual assistant. The funny thing is, the first client I got didn’t pay me, it was too late for me to realise that I had been scammed. However, that didn’t stop me from reaching my goal. I used the experience as a lesson to be more cautious while continuing to develop my skills and seek better opportunities.

Now, I apply all the skills I have gained along my journey, I have also learned to use tools like Airtable, and Propstream, which have allowed me to streamline workflows and deliver results effectively. Additionally, I am open to discovering and learning new things.

What excites me most about this path is the opportunity to make a positive impact. Remote work allows me to balance my career goals with personal responsibilities while continuing to grow and learn every day. I thrive on challenges and enjoy contributing to the success of the business I work with.

I am eager to see where this journey leads me. With my experiences and determination to overcome challenges, I am driven to contribute meaningfully and create positive impact in every role I take on.
