Israel Ilao – Customer Service Representative

israel-arthel-ilao-vaGood day!

Greetings with peace and humility.

I’m Israel Arthel M. Ilao, from Boulevard, Davao City. I am a Mathematics graduate from Holy Cross of Davao College. I was honored to be one of the first candidates to graduate during the pandemic. I couldn’t be prouder of myself knowing that I was able to graduate in spite of being a working student back then. I’ve realized that life will really humble you. Life has taught me so many life lessons during that time and I know that I can apply those learnings for my future endeavours.

Speaking of work, I’ve been a call center agent in one of the biggest BPO companies in Davao City. I’ve worked as a technical support representative at Teleperformance way back in 2018. And as a non-voice customer service representative at VXI in 2019. I’ve also worked as a Freelance Virtual Assistant in 2020. I’ve learned that availability is more important than ability and having soft skills is a must. I’ve grown as a person and I’ve realized that pressure is normal. Pressure will train you to be the best. You just have to use it to your greater advantage. And I believe these are my biggest advantages coming into this company.

israel-arthel-ilao-vaOne of the biggest trials I’ve faced during my youth is when I was forced to do my studies while working. It is something that I don’t really want to do because I’m afraid and I’m not that skillful enough. I was forced to do it because of my father’s death. It was my father who provided us with our schooling and for our everyday needs. The moment he died, my inspiration, hope, and dreams also died. But thanks be to God, He is the maker of all new things. We were able to rise from the ashes. I’ve worked hard and disciplined myself. I’ve pushed myself to do beyond limits. I’ve conquered my fears and became selfless. I couldn’t imagine myself being the best version of who I am today. And I’m immensely thankful for what I have become. I know everything happens for a reason and life must go on.

Thankfully, I came from a Christian family. So blessed to be part of a loving, supporting, and God-fearing family. They are my inspiration. I am forever grateful because I am surrounded by amazing and great people such as pastors, leaders, and spiritual counselors. They hone me and bring out the best in me. I love arts and music and I love to use my interest for the glory of God. I’ve been a worship leader for 5 years and a church leader for 11 years until now. And as a young professional, I’m greatly honored to be able to inspire more young people and share my life and testimony with them. I must say that life having Jesus is the best decision and gift I could have in my entire life. Blessed, thankful, and purposeful that is my life right now. My life might not be perfect but I know God can turn my imperfect story into a significant and purposeful one.
