Hi there! I am Jasmin de Guzman, better known by my family and friends as Jazy. I wouldn’t hesitate to say that even in my thirties, I’m still navigating the single life. I’m the youngest among my three siblings and currently living with my parents.

I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Holy Angel University. I wasn’t able to finish my degree at the time I was supposed to because my parents couldn’t send me to college due to financial constraints. I took on various jobs and even applied for a working student scholarship to fund my studies. Today, I draw inspiration from these trials and my parents, motivating me to strive harder for a brighter future. And while I’m busy working on my career success, I inadvertently overlooked the path to marriage!

As a working student during my college years, I was first introduced to the world of office administration. I learned the basics of administrative duties such as record keeping and proper documentation, filing, email correspondence, conducting meeting, and other ad-hock activities. At an early age and being surrounded with meticulous office managers, I developed into the person I am today – attentive to details, resourceful, and possessing exceptional organisational and systematisation skills.

Since then, I always felt comfortable working in front of the computer while allowing myself to continuously cultivate and refine my administrative assistance skills. I always felt challenged whenever I’m given unfamiliar tasks that I haven’t done and yet I consistently delivering excellent results. These qualities have remained my strengths until today.

Following graduation, I was engaged in a diverse career path, undertaking various roles such as manager trainee for a fast-food chain, data encoder, customer care officer, sales agent in a BPO company, internal process support supervisor, and office clerk. Over the years, these professional experiences have equipped me with a broad spectrum of skills, ranging from managerial expertise and customer service proficiency to fast and accurate typing exceeding a rate of 70wpm. I have honed my abilities in building strong rapport with customers, demonstrating leadership qualities, and mastering the art of working fast while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

After undergoing various career changes, I’ve settled to working at a food manufacturing company in Clark, Pampanga, where I have dedicated nearly six years of my professional journey. Throughout my stay in this company, I experienced growth by assuming three different positions. I was initially assigned to the production area moulding tart shells. Shortly after, I received a promotion and transitioned to an office role as an office clerk. As my manager said, I was exceptionally efficient in my position which I took almost all administrative work, I was promoted once again to the position of quality assurance officer for documentation (Document Controller). As previously mentioned, my proficiency in administrative duties has consistently been my strong point. Regardless of the position I undertake, my potential in fulfilling the responsibilities of an administrative officer is always recognised and appreciated by my employers.

While shaping my career with this company, I came to realise that my parents were getting old and I felt the need for them to have constant companionship. This is when I started to explore work-from-home opportunities. Fortunately, I secured a position as a Virtual Assistant/Data Researcher for an e-commerce store on a part-time basis. I’ve been with this UK client since 2019 and I’m constantly grateful for the opportunity to contribute to their business. In addition, I also serve as a seasonal junior bookkeeper for a US client. I handle the entries of the client’s personal cash flows and expenses using Quickbooks.

I am a strong-willed person and always aim for perfection. My dedication to work is unwavering as long as I perceive recognition and value. I exhibit keen attention to detail, exceptional organisational skills, strong communication skills, and proactive. My continuous eagerness to learn equips me to perform various responsibilities of a Virtual Assistant.
