Jose Daniel Miranda – General Virtual Assistant, Digital Marketing

jose-miranda-vaHi, I’m Jose Daniel Miranda, you can call me JD. A graduate of Electronics Engineering and a father of a special lovely boy. Before, I just dreamed of working from home, thinking that I was not good enough or limited by my age. However, I guess life does throw a lot of surprises that made me think “I wish I had done this earlier in my life”.

I guess I didn’t get my calling working in the engineering field because I spent most of my career as an administrative assistant in a government agency. Before that, I had experience working in a BPO and an SEO company. It was hard transitioning at first since I was a public servant for a decade with all those benefits and all. But one day, I felt this urge to get out and do what I want in my career without sacrificing too much time with my family. Most especially when my son was diagnosed with autism. Thus, my search for a home-based career began.

The transition to working remotely was smooth thanks to my wife, a veteran in remote work, guided me steadily in what service I want to share. I took some online courses to make my foundation stronger the funny thing is I got information overload from all of that learning before focusing on web design, graphic design, and digital marketing. Right now, I’m quite curious about software testing so I might check it one of these days.

jose-miranda-vaI can still remember the excitement I felt when the website that I built from WordPress was launched. It is still a work in progress since it isn’t optimized but the feeling of fulfillment of helping a client can’t be replaced with any monetary value.

I know that this is just the beginning for me regardless of what I have gained in the last ten years. I won’t stop learning and won’t hesitate to solve challenges along the way. I am accountable for my actions as I want my family and my client (or future clients) to be proud of me.

Working at home is a different world from office-based, which some may not go into, but I found this place to be best for me and my family. I don’t regret this decision and never will. After all, all of this is not for just my sake. I just wish that someday I can help someone or share what I learned with those wanting to work at home too.
